THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY (imdb.com) about the IRA fighting the british for Ireland's freedom. (Interesting that it was released TODAY of all days, isn't it?) This film won the Golden Palm at Cannes last year.
and lastly, NOMAD (imdb.com) which was made in and is about Kazakhstan. It has nothing to do with BORAT, which should please SOMEONE out there. It's a historical action flick that was filmed back in 2005.
BEHIND THE MASK is worth seeking out. It's a fantastic cult film. Like the SHAUN OF THE DEAD of slashers.
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

We barely get threads on the stuff that gets widely released, I ain't makin' icons for something opening in nine theatres unless you GUARANTEE me you'll start a thread and USE it. ;-)
I liked your post, though! Feel free to make one like it every week!
{ I also didn't mention Adam's Apples (Adams bler) , Beauty and the Beast: A Latter-Day Tale , Hat Trick , and My Brother . ;-) }

Am I the only one who wants to see this movie? Everyone I ask o see who wants to go see it with me says that they relly don't want to see it.
I'm going to see it, but I'm going to have to force myself to do so. I have a severe fear of horror movies about dolls and/or small children. I'm probably going to have nightmares.
Adam Sandler is still a star. And he's starring in the next Judd Apatow written/directed project. And Judd Apatow co-wrote Zohan. But I still love you.
