I kind of hope they just go ahead with it, if only because I don't want Jack Swagger to have to lament ruining his career for the rest of his life. I don't think it's such a special angle that you'd trip over yourself to find a replacement for Swagger -- if anything, life would probably be better off without it, save for the fact that I was happy for both Dutch and Swagger catching such a big break. Mark Henry or Ziggler are a lot better options in their own angles with Del Rio, be it A New Monster Threat or the stolen title, than "Zeb's new protege Cody Rhodes has some interesting ideas" or whatever.

FWIW Meltzer was told that Ziggler, not Henry, would be the next man up if they choose to change things, which kind of surprises me. It's an easy angle to shoot though.

Ziggler dumping AJ to turn her face again (and probably Big E with her) is the best thing that can happen with those two. They're doing nothing right now.

I mean, Ziggler with the MITB and Zeb and AJ and Big E while chasing the world title at Mania is just ridiculous.

I don't think Ziggler would join up with Zeb, although he does have a very Aryan name. This is getting ahead of ourselves, but the simple thing is just for Swagger to take his title shot on Monday for some contrived reason, he loses and goes away, the Ziggler Pals cash in afterwards and it's Del Rio vs. Dolph.

From there you just do Del Rio vs. Ziggler, and the Swagger/Colter act goes away while they decide whether to bring it back later during a future month when WWE won't be getting a ton of superficial mainstream press that they would prefer not to have the words "world title challenger DUI pot possession" included in.

I can see Ziggler dropping AJ and Big E, and proceeding to announce in advance he's cashing in MITB. Thing is.....I can see that turning him face.

I think Dolph has a lot of Raven & the Flock-style ideas for all the different highspots you can do with interference and distractions from multiple managers. It'd/it'll be cool to see him get to use them as world title change false finishes instead of random matches with Kane and Kofi.

I don't know about Swagger being scum, but he sure is a moron and his days in the company are numbered.

I could totally see Zeb siding with Mark Henry after the inevitable happens with Swagger. The idea of a giant black racist siding with a white extreme-right wing racist really appeals to me (storyline wise anyway). Plus can you imagine Zeb doing his poignant xenophobic spiels while Henry randomly interrupts to loudly preach and bark at people, hand over heart?

It amazes me that people are stupid enough to get behind the wheel whether they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They endanger themselves and others and Swagger is really lucky that he didn't do damage to himself or someone else.

If he had that big of a problem with it, he's in the wrong industry.

Just because Swagger was the only one caught (and who couldn't talk his way out of it with an autograph) doesn't mean he's the only one who was racing down the street after smoking a bit last night, the night before, the one before that, etc.

A website about a potential law named after the granddaughter of Mantell. Which he mentions on his blog...

http://theworldaccordingtodutch.blogspot.com/

Some time ago along with this:

" On August 14th, 2012, my 16 year old granddaughter was killed in an horrific 2 car crash in Maryville, TN. She was hit headon by a man who was speeding trying to outrun a Tennessee Highway Patrolman when he suddenly veered left over three lanes of oncoming traffic right directly into the path of my Amelia. He collided with her at 73mph...she was doing 55. There were no brakes applied...no skid marks were found. He just hit her. He turned out to be an ex convict on parole who had been convicted of 17 felonies in his life but was still allowed to go free thanks to our great TN. Dept. of Parole. Amelia died instantly and for that, I thank our Creator. That was the only saving grace of the accident. She didn't have time to feel pain, get scared, cry or feel helpless. Our Creator yanked her out of that car immediately upon impact and took her home. A home to where that man could not hurt her. The man that hit her however...lived about 10 hours longer...in severe pain. At least, Karma played its role that day." (from one of his blogs)

So, yes, I guess he has a big problem with drunk drivers, but more with repeat felons.

Swagger doesn't lose, he wins very fluky, get clocked somehow and Ziggler cashes in and Del Rio chases him. Swagger and Zeb have words and Zeb walks away. Swagger fades back into Saturday mornings.

Yea a guy evading police and driving all over the road into oncoming traffic after being let out of prison three years early with 17 felony convictions, that's a pure shit situation. Something's wrong with a parole system that accepts outcomes like that.

A big difference between that guy's life and situation and the lives of the wrestlers who do what Swagger got caught doing. When I read it was just a drunk driver that killed her I was shocked he'd be involved in wrestling the same way I would be if Jake Roberts thought he could handle being around them too. What's the worst criminal record in the WWE recently? MVP did his time but changed his life from it. Is the next one Booker T for robbing some Wendys as a teen?

Nice to see James Storm stepped up for the charity show in November.

I was shocked to see he's only 29... then one of my friends who'd seen him facetiously said he was surprised he made it that far.
