I was going to go to this, as I went last year and got to meet RVD and Ernie Hudson in a hotel bar, but a couple of things kept me from heading there this year. First was Carrie Fisher's cancellation, leaving the Star Wars contingent pretty flat. I know it was the big Batman year this year, but the friends I'd have gone with are members of the local 501st Legion and I'm not helping to set up their booth promoting dressing up like a stormtrooper without also going to see *some* kind of decent Star Wars guest heh. Secondly, an idea to have a surprise party for one of my friends cropped up and so I got tied into that.
We're the middle children of history...no purpose or place. We have no Great War, no Great Depression. Our great war, our defining crucible, is a spiritual war.
I've always thought that Joss Whedon's shows would be perfect for HBO. Think about it; every season of Buffy and Angel (except for Season 3 of Buffy and the current season of Angel) have had at least 7-8 pretty crappy episodes out of 22.
