I thought it would be fun to take predictions as to who everyone think will be the most unprobable World Champion of 2004. It could be an underdog like Benoit or an out of nowhere selection like Steven Richards or a name from the past like Randy Savage. Make a prediction and lets see who tuns out right.

MY PICK = CHRIS JERICHO

I think the Trish + Jericho could lead to a huge push. Jericho was a great heel but always came up short in the big match. I think with Trish he could be geat and move up the ladder again. It might rival Savage & Elizabeth for all time most popular couple. Like Benoit no thinks Jericho will actually get the belt but he's my pick.

and thats all i have to say about that!

Lance Storm. Hey, he's currently a fresh babyface that HHH hasn't squashed, so he should at least get a title shot at some point. Granted, he'll need a bit more of a push than jobbing to Matt Hardy on Heat. (As happy as I was to see Hardy winning on Heat yesterday, they managed to put him over the only person on the Raw roster I like more than Hardy.)

Hmmm. Targeting that the question reads unprobable, not impossible, and that MacMahons prefer hosses, only a well established and proven non-hoss in their eyes would be given a shot, and I think only Y2J could currently qualify as that, and seeing as he's already been champ, its probably not really unprobable.

So, we're looking for a hoss smokey. I'll wager Matt Morgan.

Person least likely to win the title (unprobable): Spike Dudley

Longshot with best chance to win: Hardcore Holly

Name to watch that hasn't been thrown around a lot: Christian

Eddie Guerrero...has a ton of heat, but is small and is given shitty feud after shitty feud

RVD...has a ton of heat (both with the fans and mgmt)

O'Haire....deserves a helluva lot more than that chicken legged POS generic hoss Matt Morgan

You know, we need a way of comparing how much a wrestler is worth compared to his or her push. I suggest a ratio. For instance, Kane would be 1:1, because he is exactly where IMHO he belongs. Hardcore Holly would be about 1:7. Rhyno
would define the limit with 10:1.

A WWE Champion who no-one expects:

BRET HART!?

If Vince wants him for mania a title run might just be in the picture. He could beat Benoit in an impromptu match after Benoit takes the title from Triple H ala Hogan from WM9?

What I can dream

I really want to pick Magnum T.A., but that would just be wishful thinking. I'll go with the eternal default pick for winning a World Title: Ric Flair. Remember, Trip's never regained the belt from Flair before, so that's something on his career 'To Do' List.

That would be the perfect way for the WWE to truly shit all over the IWC once and for all, have Benoit win the title and then have Bret take it from him via a Fingerpoke of Doom, seeing as how that's the only way Bret could possibly participate in a match.

Well, they could have Bret put Benoit in a cross face, and just as Benoit goes to reverse it, Earl Hebner...... No they already did that finish.

How about Bret demands that Benoit lay down and give him the title, Benoit cinches in the crossface only to discover that Bret has spiked his hair grease with clorophorm (which I'm probably mispelling) and Benoit passes out from breathing it in while cinching on the crossface.

Bret over Benoit wouldn't work, but man, it would be absolutely criminal for the WWE not to give us another Fingerpoke of Doom. WWE not only owns WCW's library, but they also inherited the crumbling-wrestling-company attributes that WCW used to have trademarked.

Here's the perfect scenario:

At WM20, have Benoit job to HHH's pedigree in less than 10 seconds, comparable to HHH/Warrior. Out comes badass Taker on a bike. He challenges HHH to a match. They square off. Taker leans into jab HHH, but then slightly taps him. HHH falls down for the pinfall. HHH and Taker celebrate. Then Vince comes out with Nash and Hardcore Holly. They are followed by Nathan Jones with Stephanie in one arm, Coachman in the other. They all attack and spraypaint Benoit. Angle, Guerrero, Jericho, and Ultimo Dragon come out to save Benoit. They all get beaten up and spraypainted as well. Vince announces the merger of the nWo, Corporation, Ministry, nWo black and white, and the Alliance. He then legit fires all five men and the new faction celebrates. Bret Hart walks out on to the ramp. A tear rolls down his cheek. Show closes.

I'm not a huge Hardcore Holly fan; but I think he could be a good change of pace as a champion. I'd like to see what he can do with the title for a month; I'm certain that a win over Lesnar would turn some heads.

If anything, I want the WWE to give titles to those who will...get this...DEFEND their titles! (I'm looking at you, Lesnar and Show)

Call Holly a transitional champ; give Cena a shot at the next Smackdown PPV...and let the hilarity ensue when Cena gets more mic time!

Fantasy booking at best...but I'd still like to see Holly get a shot.

is unprobable a word?

I'll say the one guy who stands no chance in hell of winning a title in the WWE this year will be... Orlando Jones.... NO! Kanyon... NO! Funaki...NO! Wait! Doink! Yes! That's it. Doink. NO! Brother Love! Wait! I got it!

Micheal Cole.

I figure Coachman will win the Intercontinental Title on RAW for some stupid reason, making Cole the "unprobable" Champ of 2004.
