The last chapter of the hit series on this generation of konsoles promises to be an Armageddon in the storylines of Mortal Kombat as well as an end to the franchise as we know it.
The roster of fighters is over 60; with almost every kharacter ever appearing in the series being playable in this installment.
The game also inkludes the Kreate a Kombatant feature and Motor Kombat (Mario Kart-like mini game).
I am 100% sure I'm getting this game, just gotta see if I fix up my PS2 so it doesnt shred up the discs I put in it. (I only got to play SvR 06 for a week before it was too scratched to work)...or buy another PS2.
The opening intro video, available for watching at ign.com really gets me hyped up for this. I am getting this game dammit.

(edited by WhoTookMyHonor? on 28.9.06 1200) Does Kid Kash have some sort of konnection to Mortal Kombat?
I have the game, and it definitely has a 7/10 or 8/10 feel to it. The konquest mode is good but short... and kind of repetitive in a way (ah yes, this is the part where I get a weapon and kill hordes of ninjas until the meter fills up)... although the various settings and enemies kind of make it better.
Motor Kombat, the mini game is great btw, do yourself a favor and play it with a friend (idk if you can play it online), its a lot of fun. BUT it keeps with the sub-excellent feel of the game; not enough stages at all... really. Just having one or two unlockable racers and tracks would have really made this part of the game a whole lot better; and not have some players complaining that it was tacked-on.
Basically, everything (kombat, kreate a kombatant, the krypt, fatalities) is good, really. BUT once again everything comes short of expectations, even though it is good you'll find yourself saying "come on Midway, you guys could have really done way better than this".
Final comments: 1. Motaro with two legs? Crap... at least have him as a hidden char and I'll make sure to never unlock him.
2. Just play it with a friend, the endings for arcade are a disappointment.

instead of a cinema, storyboard or any kind of cutscene, you just see the kombatant you beat the game with doing a practice martial arts exhibition "kata" while the narrator tells you what allegedly happened.
