Nidia isn't suprising. They've given her a little here and there, but ever since moving to RAW she's pretty much been a non-entity. They seemed to hint at a feud with Trish Stratus back in July. However, this was when Trish was out with a broken hand, and by the time she came back WWE had forgotten all about it.
Chuck Palumbo doesn't suprise me at all as, since the gay wedding, he's sort of just been floating. And he's been a non-entity (like Nidia) since moving to RAW. I even forgot he was employed until he showed up in the IC Title match voting for Taboo Tuesday. I always thought he had some potential, but I guess WWE thought otherwise.
Gail Kim is probably the most suprising, as they seemed to want to get something going with her recently. I don't think it's a huge loss, as she's never impressed me too much. Her biggest downfall might have been being pushed too fast too soon. She won the title her first night in, wasn't on the level of a Trish Stratus or a Molly Holly workrate-wise, and has disappeared ever since.
And, yes, several Heat and Velocity guys have got to be really nervous after these last two rounds of releases. Richards and Venis would be the most upsetting if they got cut. Richards has always had potential (IMO), but WWE has refused to do anything with him outside of the RTC gimmick. And Venis was going along fine with the Chief Morley gimmick. However, they ended it because they thought Steve Austin getting in a funny punchline was more important, so he was thrust back into the outdated Val Venis character, and has gone nowhere ever since.

Never 'Wiener of the Day', and is actually quite bitter about it.

I'm sure we'll hear something by the weekend.

Gail Kim was dating Randy Orton?

I think firing Nidia sends a bad message to send to the rest of the wrestlers. Yeah, they were kind of backed into hiring her because of tough enough, but I think she worked hard to improve.
She knew that she wasn't good enough or pretty enough to meet the current standards for women in wwe, so she got her face worked on, got new boobs, and tried to make herself more appealing. She's not great in the ring, but she's improved since being moved to Raw. She was still probably on the low end of the salary earners; getting fired after those types of sacrifices must be devastating.

Wasn't she dating (and possibly engaged to) Doug Basham?
Even more house cleaning as you can add Rodney Mack, Jazz and Johnny Stamboli to the list. This is starting to get scary for fans of Sunday Night Heat.

I heard she was engaged to Kurt Angle's brother Eric. Just goes to show just how informed we really are.
Wow... Gail Kim? Even back when she was blowing spots, I dug her effort and especially her look. She just has that badass bitch look without lacking in the hotness department.
Hopefully she'll be back competing somewhere soon... whether it's WWE or elsewhere. She deserves a shot (assuming she hasn't been cut for a chronic crack-cocaine addiction we don't know about or something)

My god, WWE is serious about their spring fall cleaning.
Rodney Mack is no suprise. I thought that his coming in dead last in the IC Title voting for Taboo Tuesday was a pretty big sign of things to come.
Johnny Stamboli isn't suprising, but a little depressing. The guy wasn't anything special in the ring, but he had a charisma to him. They had some backstage vignettes with him and Nunzio from time to time, and I always thought they had some good comedic chemistry together. Maybe they just want to push Nunzio as a singles (if he's not next).
Jazz is the most suprising and upsetting. I always thought she was one of the better women's workers, and was a member of the Great Four of the women's division (Jazz, Trish Stratus, Victoria, and Molly Holly). Sad, as I still think she could have done something in the women's division. However, for the past year or so, they seem to have had no interest in using her.

Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is that women's wrestlers in the WWE are glorified T&A. And, let's face it, Jazz is not a pretty girl. So she's pretty much useless to them. So I wouldn't exactly say it's "surprising" that she was let go.
I guess that Woman's won't be around long. And too, why do I get the feeling WWE only wanted to let go Rodney Mack and not Jazz, but because they are an item Jazz wanted out too?

Well, Jazz hasn't exactly been setting WWE programming on fire within the past year ...
You know what this is starting to remind me of? When I used to play Extreme Warfare Revenge, I would be one of the other companies (eg TNA), and within days, WWE would release like 50 wrestlers into free agency.
But like I said a few days ago, this is all good news for the company. They are going to save a bundle this year in costs (which is good because it will offset the crappy PPV revenue), and if they ever want to pick up, say Jazz or Palumbo a year from now - who's going to stop them?
The amazing thing is, even after all the cuts, that still leaves over 30 active wrestlers PER brand left. Almost 70 in all not counting injuries and announcers. If they releas anymore, here is my list of potential cuts:
AKIO HIROKO The Bashams Nunzio Scotty 2 Hotty Tyson Tomko Rosey Marky Henry Garrison Cade Chris Nowinski Val Venis
Really, anyone from that list better be hoping they dont get any calls from management in the next few days. This is gonna be interesting with who they use on the B shows now. Maybe this means more upper card wrestlers on Heat/Velocity?
