For instance, I just got done reading Harry Potter VI and would like to comment, but the thread's closed and starting another one would be pointless. Same with Star Wars III.
Since books and movies don't really get dated like last week's episode of RAW or the latest happening in the War in Iraq, I was thinking keeping those threads open somewhat longer - maybe a few months even - would be a good idea. Also, we don't all see a movie or read a book at the same time, like we do with RAW or the latest news. Plus there's usually not that many threads in those forums like there is in Wrestling, so there's time when only the latest handful of threads are still open.
