Ah, the Sacramento Bee - keeping an ear out for bad jokes bordering on racism and keeping an eye out for Howard Dean. They've got it all!

Meanwhile, Bustamante is getting really slick - possibly TOO slick for his own good - not only "solving" his Indian gaming contribution problem by diverting them towards "No on 54" ads...starring Cruz Bustamante, but then the AP reports that he's subtly shifted his oratorical focus from "No on the Recall/Yes on Bustamente" to ".../Yes on Bustamante." I loved this quote:

"You didn't hear it over the roar of the crowd, but at the end of the speech, I said, 'No on recall, Yes on Bustamante."

Uh huh.
