Your Official Sunday, April 13, 2003 Randomly Selected Wiener Of The Day Champion says....

At Click Here (1wrestling.com) Billy Boy Goldberg has an interviewed posted from a show in LA. One thing that stood out was his Y2J quote:

"On his "fight" with Chris Jericho: "We had an altercation, not a fight. If we had a fight, one of us would be dead...and it sure as hell wouldn't be me. (Afterwards) Chris and I shook hands and I think we'll make a lot of money together."

Maybe he was just saying to be in Goldberg-like character, but really what a tool. Iam kinda getting tired of Goldberg thinking he can beat anyone and everyone.

Well I don't know about you, but I don't think I would necessarily pick a fight with Goldberg. But maybe that's just me.

Where's William Regal when you need him? He would put Goldberg in his place....again.

Lance Storm briefly commented on the "altercation". He didn't provide any details, but commented that he wasn't at all surprised that Jericho could hold his own against Goldberg. Of course, he also said something about how you wouldn't last very long in the business if you weren't tough enough to hold your own. (And we'll just presume that Sid is the exception that proves the rule.)

Last I heard, he was still sick and they hadn't managed to pinpoint down what was causing it.

Edit: Just caught an old Byte This recap that Regal was on and apparently it turned out to be a problem with his heart. It was beating too fast and they actually had to stop and restart his heart to get it back in the proper rythm. Sounded like he was fine now but was required by the doctors to take several weeks off to make sure no complications set in.

I sure hope Regal comes back soon, I miss that pompous snob. I really do

As for Goldberg, that's one person I didn't miss with his years gone. He certainly someone that I wouldn't mind being taught respect, I'd ask for the legend of Bradshaw to return but then I remember Bradshaw's just intimidates referees, women and small guys named Hardy.

I think it was subsequent to that that they were concerned that he had some blood clotting near his heart, have him on meds to try to clear that up, but don't expect him to be able to work for another 6-9 months til that gets resolved. (Not positive about that chronology though.)

I remember when there were rumours of Goldberg going into the MMA world. I really wanted that to happen. Alas, all he did was show up as a guest at some PRIDE or something.

The medication that Regal has to take thins his blood which makes him bruise incredibly easily so he can't get back in the ring until this thing clears up which could be anywhere from six to nine months.

Too bad Undertaker's on Smackdown.

Goldberg is a schmuck. Why would he say that about Jericho? I have a real bad feeling about Goldberg. I think he is going to be a worse cancer than Scott Hall and Kevin nash combined. Although, I will watch with amazement when the two biggest egos in the business (HHH and Goldberg) collide in a series of DQ matches.

Work or shoot, it just wasn't a smart thing to say. I would have left out the `one of us would dead' nonsense.

I've seen a couple of reports refuting the claims that Bray Wyatt was taken to the hospital. It sounds like he may have received some treatment in the ambulance but didn't actually get transported to a medical facility.
