John Cena vs. CM Punk, WWE Championship Match: I'll go with Punk winning, and a MITB winner cashing it in on him - but more on that later.

Randy Orton vs. Christian, World Championship Match: Orton wins to end this feud - he moves on to Sheamus.

Raw MITB Ladder Match: Del Rio wins, cashes in on Punk, wins, and Cena chases him to Summerslam.

Smackdown MITB Ladder Match: Sheamus seems like the obvious choice, but this person will wait to strike, so they don't need someone who is ready-made to challenge. I say it'll be either Wade Barrett or Cody Rhodes, but I'll go Barrett.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry: I'm hoping Henry wins to continue his domination. A win here could further boost his credibility and he could be looking at being a legit title contender at that point. But since I only have two babyfaces going over (unless you consider Punk one...), I'm already thinking of changing this one to Show.

Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella, Divas Championship Match: Kelly retains.

John Cena vs. CM Punk, WWE Championship Match: I really, REALLY want to go with the same "Punk wins and jobs out to the MitB winner" idea, but I can't see anyone in that MitB match worth pulling that trigger on. So as it is, as much as it infuriates me, this is going to be the Same Old Crap with Cena winning by STF. And like I said in the Raw thread, the Chicago crowd will boo that finish out of the building. That crowd's going to be "Cena/RVD in Philly" kind of hostile.

Randy Orton vs. Christian, World Championship Match: They wouldn't have tacked on that ridiculous stipulation if it didn't mean they're finally pulling the trigger on Christian. Ref bump, Christian brings a chair into the ring, gets taken out, and Orton whacks Christian with the chair for the pin. Christian pleads his case and the result gets overturned to give Christian the title. I hope I'm wrong on that one, because it sounds stupid even as I type it. THIS is the match where the MitB winner cashes in and beats Christian for the title, just because SOMEONE will think it's funny to keep jerking the poor guy around.

Raw MITB Ladder Match: I want to say Del Rio, but since he has a stake to a title match already (by winning that #1 contender's match last week), I don't think he'll win. Since it worked so well the first time, I'm betting on Miz.

Smackdown MITB Ladder Match: This would be the perfect time to reward Cody Rhodes for his dynamite work, but I think his time will come next year. This is actually the easiest match of the night to call. Sheamus wins and cashes in on Christian later in the night.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry: Show's perpetually over and Henry needs as much help as he can get. As painful as it is to watch him wrestle, he's got some momentum, so they might as well ride it. Henry wins clean.

Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella, Divas Championship Match: Just because I don't know where Kelly would go if she retained, I'm going to go with Brie to take the title.

Del Rio is going to win MITB when Ricardo returns to help him, and you can take that to the place where they keep the money in the vaults

Is there going to be a McIntyre/Ziggler match, plz say yes.

Y'know, I'll make the exact same predictions for the exact same reasons, with one exception: I think Kelly retains. And yes, I agree, "IF CENA WINS, WE RIOT."

I'll guess my fantasy booking picks so I'll either be a super genius (no) or the world's worst psychic/booker (yes).

- Kelly d. Brie to retain

- Henry d. Show

- Smackdown MITB: Daniel Bryan

- Raw MITB: R-Truth

- Orton d. Christian to retain

- Punk d. Cena to win the title via R-Truth interference. Truth then refuses to cash in the briefcase, saying he can get a title shot anytime, so why not wait and get Cena fired. Vince begs Daniel Bryan to cash in the contract, so Bryan comes out - and lays out Cena and Vince. Punk takes time off and takes the WWE title with him so we're down to only one world title, Cena is gone for a while but is eventually reinstated after The Rock says "no Cena, no Mania match," R-Truth loses his MITB shot because he doesn't have a WWE Champion to cash it in against (conspiracy!), and Bryan (back to being called Bryan Danielson) takes Punk's place as the truth-telling, top heel, good-match-having darling of the internet. And months later, after making a few surprise ROH appearances with the WWE belt, Vince lures Punk back with the one thing he can't resist - a Wrestlemania match against Steve Austin.

That, my friends, is what's known as "setting one's self up for disappointment."

Cena wins, and we see the seeds sewn for a heel turn
Orton beats Christian
Henry beats Show to set him up as Orton's next challenger
Barrett wins the SmackDown MITB
Del Rio wins the Raw MITB
Kelly retains against Brie

This is gonna be so disappointing. Just gotta think long-term I guess.

Punk wins and gets on the mike and says "As you all know Chicago is my home town. I love this town, the pizza. I love Da Bears, Da Cubs and so I R truth's music hits. I come down to get some. Oh no no Mr. Killings you should've let me finish. I do love love Chicago but I don't particularly like the people here. I can live anywhere. Pizza, every town has a Domino's. The Cubs and the Bears, I can go to any high school, Hell elementary school and see better football and baseball teams. So as much as it pains me to say this, not really, I'm leaving the WWE and taking this with me. Don't get mad. Honestly, Ron could you tell me what would ruin such an exquisite night like first beating one bad rapper then losing it to another. You can't beat me so it really is a moot point anyway. Don,t worry you'll see me again. I'm going to have a lot of free time and I plan on attending Raw quite often. You may not see Cena there tomorrow, call me John I can get good seats. I know a guy. Thank You Vince, all of you wonderful sport entertainers and all of you from Sweet Home Chicago, thank you. Catch ya later.

Part of me wishes they'd really go through with Punk winning and leaving, with a summer of appearances at ROH events that they show clips of on Raw in mock outrage, as Del Rio and the rest sort of flutter about, frustrated with what's happened and angry there's no championship to contend for. That'd be some true, meta-angsty and 4th wall breaking fun and be radically different than anything they've ever tried... that'd be a real attempt to connect with a new, interactive audience in 2011.

Cena over Punk
Orton over Christian
Raw MITB: Del Rio
Smackdown MITB: Rhodes
Henry over Show
Bellas over Anorexia

John Cena vs. CM Punk, WWE Championship Match: I'll go with Punk winning, and then subsequently losing - but more on that later.

Randy Orton vs. Christian, World Championship Match: Orton.

Raw MITB Ladder Match: Jack Swagger.

Smackdown MITB Ladder Match: Cody Rhodes.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry: Mark Henry.

Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella, Divas Championship Match: Kelly retains.

CM Punk vs. Jack Swagger: Punk wins, thus resulting in a MITB winner finally losing. And Swagger makes as much sense as any, since a) he's won before, and b) he's a goofball that is going nowhere.

CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio: ADR wins. (Del Rio won the MITB #1 Contender match last week, right? I think that was a setup for this.)

You know a show is hot going in when our predictions thread becomes a bastion for Fantasy Booking. And I not immune to this bug!

To begin, I love what James laid out in his post. It's pretty similar to what I mentioned in another thread in the sense that Vince will eventually have to go to Austin for help. The use of Bryan, especially with his history with Punk, makes sense.

My predictions, to start with;

Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella, Divas Championship Match: Kelly retains.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry: Mark Henry wins the match, establishes himself once more as a beast.

Randy Orton vs. Christian, World Championship Match: I want to say Christian wins, feuds with someone else and Orton and Sheamus fight for the #1 contendership later on. You know what? I'll go with that anyway.

Raw MITB Ladder Match: Now we get into the meat of the night. Kofi, Rey, Del Rio, and Miz are all solid contenders to win the match. I like Swagger a lot, but they've false started his last push. Out of these gentlemen, who can they work with the most?

I can't buy Kofi or Rey winning right now, but not for the reasons people may think. Any other year I could see it, but not this one. Not in Chicago. Not when I see CM Punk winning his match. The home crowd will see him turn face, which means a heel must win the match.

Del Rio could win AND cash in tonight, and cement HIS being a heel. Yet....I'm not buying it quite yet. He doesn't need MOTB to catch a title chance.

I could see the Miz winning the match again and trying to come out and win the title. The Miz could win, try to cash in, then BACKING OUT cementing his heel legacy. But I think they might turn him face soon. His "REALLY?"'s is starting to get over, and there was a couple of shows now where there was an AWESOME! chant. And if they want to turn him face, they can't have him run away, can they?

The Miz wins MOTB, tries to cash in....AND FAILS. Vince gets incredibly upset, this resulting him being FURIOUS and directs his rage at the Miz. Heel Vince, Face Miz.

Smackdown MITB Ladder Match: Barrett wins, becomes an oucast when he DOESN'T use his chance against Punk. Gets him back on track easily.

John Cena vs. CM Punk, WWE Championship Match: Punk wins thanks to Colt Cabana. Defeats the Miz, walks away with the title for three months or so. A tourny is formed to see who will be the new champ, with Del Rio winning. Punk comes back proclaiming he is the REAL WORLD CHAMPION. He defeats the current champ they have (not Del Rio, his reigh lasts three months). Eventually Vince must turn to one man to assist;

Stone Cold Steve Austin, one of the FEW men who could have the crowd cheer for him and not Punk.

So after all of that;

Kelly Kelly
Henry
Barrett
Miz
Punk
Christian

Really hard show to predict. Many interesting directions they could go in. For announced matches, not any impromptu possibilities:

Punk
Orton
Sheamus
Miz
Show
Kelly

Punk, if only because a Cena wins puts him in a talking feud with Del Rio which can only fall short in comparison. And Del Rio frankly can't burden any more mishandling.

Christian, and let them never meet again.

Raw MITB Ladder Match: Riley, who then reminds us all he was drafted to SmackDown and challenges Christian.

Smackdown MITB Ladder Match: Cody Rhodes. He's been given all the gimmicks an angle can bear (valet, props, victim card), and the briefcase will move him to the main event, as his win over Rey at Mania should have.

Henry wins.

Kelly Kelly wins wins.

Even a week ago I would have said that Miz wins MITB and cashes in to save the title, turning face. The fans are into Miz more each week with the "Really?" chants and normally he'd get a huge reaction.

BUT Punk is going to be so over as a face in Chicago. I think they expected that. What I don't think they expected was how much he turned himself last night. So now it is more than pissing off Chicago and going to the next town. If Punk is squashed, this will severally follow Cena wherever he goes.

Likewise, Miz will not be treated as a hero for saving the title.

But I also can't see Punk leaving with the belt. I can't see them wanting to have RAW without their hottest act.

I honestly have no idea how any of this will go, and that is a very good thing.

This might be too predictable, but all of the seeds and signs point to a Montreal type screwjob in my fantasy booking head.

Hometown, the guy Vince wants to lose is leaving, championship match. I say Cena locks in the STFU, Vince (who's already established as part of the story) goes "Ring the fucking bell!" and Cena can have a reign longer than three months and build to a SummerSlam title match with Albert Del Rio or somebody.

Maybe, since it's more obviously worked, it's more akin to Rock-Mankind at Survivor Series 1998, but that seems to be the ending that helps everybody and sets the stage for CM Punk to come back later.

CM Punk leaving with the belt would be best, though, and very ballsy.

This makes sense but it would be yet another rehash of Montreal, and it takes Punk off TV which is not the best idea. I mean, who is going to give a crap about Del Rio Vs Cena at Summerslam if that's the plan?

Cena vs. CM Punk,= Cena in which could be a very long title reign for Cena (Till Miami 2012) unless the brother-n-law steps in and even that may not be till Survivor Series.

Orton vs. Christian,= Orton

RAW MITB= MIZ

SD MTIB= Rhodes

Henry vs Show= Henry

Kelly vs Brie Bella= Brie Bella with outside help from sister.

I love this scenario. It's a nice little nod to the HBK/Razor feud over who was the real IC champ.

I was borrowing from Flair in '92, but you're right, there is a WWE parallel as well!

I won;t be able to watch the show, but I'm so excited for it that I'm debating on bunkering down until I can watch it so I can be surprised (either good or bad).
