Zzzzz....zzzz...huh...wha?

Oh yeah, this game. The good game streak ends with a thud tonight. Both teams came out listless and lethargic for that entire first half. The Pittsburgh defense came alive for a bit in the second half, but the offenses of both these teams are just an eyesore to watch.

Yeah, so naturally THIS is the game that goes to overtime. Had that Jeff Reed kick missed, I would have fallen asleep until mid-Wednesday.

Vikings and Saints next week, which has the potential to be another clunker. Gus Frerotte does not make for interesting football.

I beg to differ. Granted, it wasn't a nail-biter to the end, well, at least not until the end. However it was a good ole' fashioned defensive struggle. Any game where both teams lose running backs like that means lots of mean and nasty hits, though there were times (especially near the end) where I started yelling at my TV about how 'that guy should have hit 'em'. The sheer amount of scuffs and marks on the white Baltimore jerseys really showed how hard-nosed both teams were playing, at least on the defensive side of things.

Last week was a blowout; you think a lopsided game is entertaining? You play too much Madden and listen to too little Madden.

Well, last week's game was enteraining enough just based off of It's False signature pic. Tonight's game was exactly what I expected: a bit of a grinder that took some time to get going, but ended with a exciting conclusion in OT. That said, this has to be one of those games for the Steelers where they won the game but lost a lot more in the long haul. To have one player carted off and lose two others for the season (sports.espn.go.com) can't be good for a team with a bunch of injuries already. If nothing else, the Steelers have a weak division to work in, but I'm not sure of their chances of getting in the playoffs at this point.

Well, they did manage to eke by the only other team in the division that as yet has any chance to make it into the playoffs, barring the notion that Cleveland or Cincinnati pull it together (which is entirely possible, regardless of what circus music ESPN plays when showing clips from when they play each other).

Playing each NFC East team isn't going to help, though. Now that I think about it, the AFC North is going through a really rough year so far.

Yeah it sure was boring!! Give me a break.

I sure am pissed the Ravens choked away a win, though.

I might live to regret this but I think they'll pretty well waltz to the division title by default. Their offensive line is a disaster, but the other teams in the division still aren't close to them. But if Flacco can play as well as he did then Baltimore could make a race of it. A race to see which of us gets to be one and done, but still.

As much as I hate to see it, gotta agree with you there. Cincy is toast this year, and Cleveland will drive me nuts as long as they keep insisting on starting Anderson. I'm actually impressed by how well Baltimore has done so far - good for Flacco.
