LOS ANGELES GALAXY 0:2 NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION

SCORING SUMMARY:
NE: Kamler - 59' (1st of season, 7th of career)
NE: Twellman - 66' (3rd of season, 26th of career)

DISCIPLINE SUMMARY:
CAUTION: NE - Llamosa - 37'
CAUTION: LA - Marshall - 71'

---
FIRST HALF: Not really paying much attention in the first half. Too busy. To summarize, Hartman looks great in goal. Twellman and Joe-Max aren't hooking up at all, but they've got more than enough chances to work it out as the Revs are getting much more balls into the box this time around. Llamosa takes down Ruiz for yellow card in the 37th minute. Ruiz gets his head to it in the 41st but watches it sail wide to the right. Twellman has a chance in the same minute the otherway only to get taken down by Califf. Referee fails to call it. Commentators speculate the ref felt Twellman had no chance to make contact with the ball. Well that's just silly. No stoppage time for the first half.

HALFTIME: Veronica offers her memories of MLS Cup 2002. AHHH WEEKLY COBI FIX. Wynalda chats it up with Joe-Max. Meanwhile, the announcer in the background yells "JASON KREIS!" and I laugh hysterically. IT'S YOUR GAME WITH TOMMY SMYTH. Instant replay? No, unless it's available to every team on a worldwide basis. Next week: MetroStars v. Rapids! It's like the piss break match of MLS!

SECOND HALF: Rusty Pierce does his best Rivaldo impression in terms of acting. Funny. Twellman threatens in the 19th, but Marshall is there to send it over the endline for a corner. Can't manage to get a goal out of it. Handy graphic tells us that the Galaxy only have two shots. That seems a little uncharacteristic, eh? Moreno hammers a shot off a 52nd minute corner that beats Adin Brown, but a Revs defender is there to clear it off the line. Joe-Max has ball right to him in the box. He's taken down by Hendrickson, but no call is made. Revs threaten again in the 57th. Just can't connect with the finish. New England subs Hernandez for Cullen in the 58th. Deflected New England cross in the 59th finds Kamler wide open on the left side. He lets it rip and beats Hartman to the bottom right corner. 1-0 Revs. Ralson gets another chance at it in the next minute, but it's poked away. Debate on whether it's a back pass to the Hartman or not. 63rd minute Galaxy sub: Glinton for Moreno. Revs with a huge opportunity later than minute. Hartman proves himself to be God and keeps it out of the net. Another chance in the 66th, and Twellman gets stuff once again by Hartman. Galaxy fails to clear it well enough, and Twellman WILL NOT BE DENIED. He drills it far post. 2-0 Revs. Joe-Max tries to make it a 3 goal lead in the next minute, but fires it wide left. LA looks to come back from the defecit in the 68th, but Adin Brown proves himself to also be God and makes a beautiful fingertip save. Another New England breakway in the 69th, but they can't pull the trigger. Next minute, Victorine fools Brown, but he recovers to save it off his TOE. Marshall jumps in on Twellman at 71' and gets cautioned. Harris comes on for Joe-Max in the 75th minute. Hernandez takes a shot from three miles out in the 77th that sails wide left. Elliott tries one the other way, but it clears the crossbar for a goal kick. Ruiz sends his application to the Rivaldo School of Acting as well. Jones tries to connect with Ruiz in the 81st, but the cross is a tad too far ahead. Ruiz has a great opportunity with a header in the 82nd. He connects but sends it over the crossbar. Pierce takes a shot in the face from Ruiz, and deservedly so after hanging all over him. Twellman has a dangers flick-on in the 87th that sails wide left. Albright on for Hong in the 88th. Couple minutes of stoppage time are needed. Twellman gets one last chance but can't get past Hartman, taking a nasty spill in the progress. Time expires, and the LA Galaxy STILL have not won a game.

LA falls to 0-2-3 with 3 points.
New England improves to 2-2-1 with 7 points.
