Does anyone else play this cool game? You pick a player every day and try to keep a hitting streak going. If you get over 56 games, you win season tickets to your favorite team. It is pretty fun. I had a nice 4 game streak going, but Eric Chavez went O-fer today. Oh well, start a new one tomorrow.

Yep - played it last year too. Led off last season with a 7 game streak, and never beat that all year. This year, I haven't made it past 2! I suck at fantasy sports, which is why I never play them.

I'm going to try it out. It sounds actually very interesting. Espn also has one called diamond daily where you pick 1 player each day and your stats accumulate throughout the season. Very nice.

Yeah, I'm playing. I think I'm too smart for my own good, though. Like picking Garret Anderson when he goes up against John Halama. That made too much sense to pass up.

Oh well.

Anyway, I haven't gotten over 3, and I had about a 4 day hitless streak. Beating the Streak the wrong way, baby.

Tommorow will be my very first day trying it out. I pick Luis Gonzalez. I think I'm always going to either pick somebody who is playing the Tigers or the Rockies in Colorado.

I'm trying this for the first time, and today I've got Magglio Ordonez as my champion.

edit: hey, I'm one for one!

Thanks for the heads up. I never even noticed this game on mlb.com before, even though I am a gameday audio member (very hard to get the Red Sox games here in KC).

I've got a combination of Bonds, Ichiro, Helton, Nomar, Jeter, and J.D. Drew for the upcoming week. We'll see what happens....

I think I'll play, and every day I'll just pick someone from the team opposing the Orioles.

Unless the *shiver* Devil Rays are playing the Tigers
Gonzo did nothing for me yesterday, but I'm still going with him today.

That's a great idea...unless you pick Frank Thomas and he goes 0 for frickin' 5 against them!

Well.... stupid me. I chose a good hitter for the 15th. And of course he goes 0 for 3. my bad though... he was playing against the diamondbacks.

Serwolfe...

Benes hasn't been able to pitch for a good couple of years now. Enjoy him while he's there, when Williams comes back, he won't be in the rotation (one can only hope.)

My bad. I meant that as a note of sarcasm after his last start. The only good thing i saw was that his fastball has a little more pop to it (still only hits about 89). He apparently readjusted his balance.... realized he was leaning too much. Still though... i dont think he has it any more. He can put in the innings... i just dont think he can deliver. Bullpen then trade? hmmm... we will see.

I cant wait to get williams healthy and back again.

34000? damn. Not bad for a team that supposedly cant draw. I dont think the numbers will hold up ... but it will be interesting to see.
