I honestly though it would be July/August until someone would do it. -- 2006 Time magazine Person of the Year -- -- July 2009 Ordained Reverend -- Promote this thread!

Well, I'd have to imagine there was a thorough investigation done to make sure it was legit. http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/9471.html

They didn't expect it to be done by the day of release, and wanted to move some more copies based on people assuming they could try for the million? Naaaaaaaaah, don't be such a cynic. Originally posted by SchippeWreck If he did it right after getting the game, I wonder why we're just hearing about it now. What I'D like to know is who he pitched as - and which team he played against. You'd think The AP™ would have had that information SOMEWHERE (unless the "journalist" in question was BIASED) Here's their press release: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/2K-Sports-Awards-Alabama-Man-bw-3744373824.html?x=0&.v=1 Looks like they may have waited until the "Contest Period" had ended (end of 5/1)? STILL no information I'm looking for. Well, they say that Twin Galaxies reviewed the videos - maybe THEY have the info. Well, fart. The connection has timed out The server at www.twingalaxies.com is taking too long to respond. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Maybe 2K has some more information on the game site somewhere... http://www.2ksports.com/perfectgame Well, that's a pretty picture of Wade and his fake check, but no help there. Hey, they have a Facebook site! http://www.facebook.com/MLB2Ke Aha, THERE is a link to an ESPN video - SURELY *THEY* will ask the questions! http://bit.ly/bXneq9 expands to http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5165049&categoryid=2378529 - a 3:46 video posted at 12:36 PM ET - can we embed it here? No, we can't. Boo on you, ESPN. So what pitcher was Wade? And what team did he face? It takes almost two minutes but he does reveal that he was Atlanta's Kenshin Kawakami, facing the Mets. He had to select from actual games taking place that day for the contest - and it looks like that MAY have been his only choice. By the way, in the real world, the Mets won that game 4-2 (mlb.mlb.com) and Kawakami didn't pitch. It also looks like 2K must have an EPK out there with footage from his game, which ESPN used in their piece - I'd keep looking, but I DO have to do some actual WORK this afternoon. Probably not. Zelda 2 suffered from the Mario 2 curse--the sequel was so different from the orginal that it necceessaitated a back-to-basics approach for the third installment.
