Well, Jim Leyland (sports.yahoo.com) is the first new manager hired this offseason. I thought maybe he was a better choice than Manual for the Phillies last season. It'll be interesting to see what he can do with the Tigers. Just how far away are they from being a good team? I don't get to see much of the AL (besides Yanks/Sox).
I think Jim Tracy would be a good fit in Pittsburgh. It seemed like he wasn't the one who should have been fired from the Dodgers, as it seems like the crappy moves the GM made lead to the Dodgers demise, not so much the manager's job. Some reports have him as being the frontrunner for that job.
No way they'll trade anyone until they figure out what it will cost them to pay off Angelos so they can sell the team to a D.C. ownership group for $500 Million. Vlad is going nowhere. He's the most marketable player on the team (and will be in DC).
