Probably for the best. I never liked the idea of playing these neutral site games anyway. Whatt's the advantage for the two teams to lose the coin from home games. At least San Diego was being self interested when they moved those games to Mexico and Honolulu.

I'm glad obviously for their safety, but also for another reason. Both teams had a pair of ST games AFTER they got back from Japan. So they fly to Japan, play 2 regular season games, then fly back to the states to play 2 more meaningless exhibition games after the regular season starts? Total bullshit.
I'll give MLB credit for making the decision, though. No reason to make the trip this week. I'll be curious to see what happens with the Yankees going there next year.

It is too bad... I'm afraid his career may be over. The last reports here before he re-injured the shoulder were that he was pitching about 80% off the mound, no breaking stuff. This is a big setback... so much potential.
