|  #1 Posted on 26.9.04 0919.03 | Instant Rating: 2.41 | I'm using Opera as my browser, and when I'm cruising through the board I usually use the 'new posts' button to read each forum. This works fine when I haven't been to the board in a while, but sometimes after marking a forum read, then reading some other forums, there will be a new post in a forum I have recently marked read. When I go to click on the new posts button for that forum, it brings me back to old posts which I have already read. This especially happens when the number of new posts is low. Sometimes I have to go through this process and mark the forum read 3 or 4 times until the new post will actually show up instead of old posts. The amount of times I need to do this seems completely random to me. I hope I've explained this in enough detail.
Though I know very little about browsing and whatnot, I'm assuming this is done because of a cache feature of Opera... or something similar to that?? Thing is, I have no idea how one would turn a feature like that off, as I'm not too savvy with all of this.
Granted, I could just read posts the normal way, but I like the 'new posts' feature way better. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around this annoyance?
