Mindy McCready commits suicide (torontosun.com)

A real shame - I loved her TEN THOUSAND ANGELS album, and I had always thought she'd end up being a country music superstar. She had the look and the sound. Too bad, really.

Way back, I received a lot of flack from a previous girlfriend because of the lyrics to GUYS DO IT ALL THE TIME. Apparently, it was really supposed to be called YOU DO IT ALL THE TIME, but I digress.

RIP, Mindy. I loved your music, but mourned your fall from grace.

All this time I thought "Guys Do It All The Time" was a Shania Twain song. I guess it's because thematically it reminded me of "Any Man of Mine" so much. And I hate them both. "Ten Thousand Angels" is good though.

My wife and I were trying to figure out what might have led her to shoot her dog first. Short of her simply being crazy, does anybody have any theories? Is this a common pre-suicide occurrence?

Sometimes people in this state take out "loved ones" so they won't "suffer" in a world the person views as unlivable. Thank God she spared the children.

I had to look it up too. Something just didn't seem right in the lyric snippet near the end of the commercial. The song is "War Toad", off a remix album Robby Krieger did - from this site (idafan.com)
