If the Undertaker vs. Hogan main event for Judgement Day holds up, it will bring to an end the 42 PPV-long streak of either Rocky, Austin, or HHH being in the Main Event. But it will still be the 53rd PPV in a row with Rocky, Austin, HHH, or Taker in the Main Event.

By Main Event I'm counting the WWF Title match or the last match on the card if there is no Title match.

So when was the last time none of them were on? HBK-Mankind or HBK-Hart?

Well 53 PPV's ago would have been 4 years, and 5 more ppv's, so it would have been something like the PPV in December of 1997. The PPV of December '97 was apparently called "Degeneration-X" and the title match was Shawn Michaels vs. Ken Shamrock. This seems to be the one.

That's the one. The 42 PPV-streak started after Kane vs. Undertaker (w/Austin as guest ref) in the summer of 98

How do you count Armageddon 99 where Big Show defended the WWF Title against Bossman, but the last match was Vince vs. HHH?

Ouch. Is is ok to revise my statement to say "or last match on the card if the Bossman is involved?"

I used the WWF title match or last match if there is no title matchup to avoid counting celebrity matchups (like Bam-Bam/LT) or "special attraction grudge matches" (like Vince vs. Flair) if they happen to be the last match on the card. This is one of those things common sense should dictate, but you would have to make a million exceptions to the rule to actually put it down on paper.

I figured as much, but I'm an insufferable smart ass who likes to prick holes in the good decent hard work of more diligent folks than myself ;)

I usually look at 411 Wrestling, but I've seen some people say there are much better. I like the list of headlines presentation. I used to like Wrestleboard and Scoops alot, what happened to them? What happened to Al Isaccs (The man they call Al)?
