| #1 Posted on 27.11.03 1357.11 | Instant Rating: 0.00 | WWE has a HUGE roster and half the guys have never even been on Smackdown or RAW in months. Young guys who can tear the ring apart, charismatc guys who might be the breakout star if given the chance. So why is WWE digging up its past? Lets look at 3 people who are suppose to come back....
Mideon - Proably my least favorite wrestler EVER. He certainly doesnt have the look and lacks charisma. This guy couldnt, and never will get over. He couldnt even get over coming to the ring naked. Now supposdely hes coming back to be involved in the Taker/Kane feud. Is there anyone who wants this guy back?
Macho Man - Yeah he was cool back in the day, but now with ths rap album he has become a mockery of himself. If he comes back for one appearance at WMXX I can stand him. Something tells me though he will be in some high profile feuds.
Steamboat - Great wrestler, lack of charisma. In my opinion the only people that really care for him are smarks. If he came out I dont even think the crowd would pop that much. Everyones saying they want a Flair/Steamboat match at Mania, well I rather have a Spanky/London match. Let the past stay in the past. If they wrestled again it wouldn't be nearly as good.
What do you think of these possible returns?

| #2 Posted on 27.11.03 1407.51 | Instant Rating: 6.84 | Mideon - eh, if he's used to further the Taker/Kane storyline, I won't mind. But the thing is, I'll mind if we have to sit through his horrible matches again every week.
Macho Man - Sorry, I don't fit the mold on the board here. I'd like to see Savage. He's just so insane that it's entertaining. Plus he hasn't aged horribly like a lot of others that have tried to come back.
Steamboat - I would much rather see Steamboat/Flair than Spanky/London. Come on, man - this is WrestleMania 20.
I agree with everybody here that they need to push young stars and all that stuff - but this is a special situation - this is WrestleMania 20. They have to do something accordingly. This ain't some No Mercy card. And for this one night, I don't mind at all if they include a few legends. You guys do know that they have to SELL these PPV's right? I'm sorry, but people are expecting to see people like Bret/Hogan/Macho at the big show, and IN THIS SITUATION alone, I agree. I won't complain if we see "washed up has beens" at WrestleMania. | Freeway

As long as it's entertaining or short enough to ignore, they can do whatever they want. It's not like they're bringing Mideon back and making him World Champion, right?

| #4 Posted on 27.11.03 1523.47 | Instant Rating: 2.99 | Mideon - Sorry to disagree with all but I am a HUGE Mideon mark. Sure his matches are not great but he was funny and entertaining to watch. He was like the 90's version of Steven Richards. He went out with every stupid gimmick WWE could think of and did it with a smile!
Macho Man - Sorry yet again, cause I am a Macho Man fan. Having him come back to WWE could mean many things. He still keeps in good shape and can still wrestle well. Plus, you can always have referee Charles Robison go heel by trying to get some payback for Savage dropping that elbow on him breaking his ribs or whatever. But really, I think it would help TNA more then WWE if Savage would take a trip over to TNA. (That's of course if old Hollywood don't show)
Steamboat - Like Savage, great wrestler and he keeps himself well. But I also would like to see him return to TNA. He seems to want to help the younger generation of wrestlers and seems he can do so on NWA-TNA rather then WWE.

| #5 Posted on 27.11.03 1537.47 | Instant Rating: 5.22 | First of all, the only place the Mideon rumors are emanating from is Dennis Knight's own mouth, so they should all be taken with a VERY large pinch of salt. Even if he were brought back, it would probably be along the lines of a one night Kane-slaughters-old-Undertaker-lackey-to-prove-he's-not-scared-of-the-Dark-Side kinda deal.
Secondly, there is nothing concrete to suggest that Savage is actually headed back to WWE. One interview in their magazine does not constitute "rumors". None of the wrestling press have mentioned anything about a potential Savage return whatsoever. And again, even if he does, there is no way in Hell that he'll be given any leeway. Vince has already bumped both Piper and Hogan this year over matters of the ego-you really think he'd put up with anything other than total toadying professionalism from Macho?
Thirdly, a ten-year-srusty Ricky Steamboat STILL rules more than 75% of the current WWE roster. So there.

Savage given 20 minutes on the mic, Mideon given a sub-story that spans the whole pay per view (I laughed at Nekkid Mideon, but COME ON!)and Steamboat being forced to reprise the too shitty for words "Dragon" Persona and second Ultimo Dragon in his match...
These three could kick ass on the ppv, but nly if done correctly. Unfortunately, the writers/bookers/owners are having some sketchy performance in that area.
Two hours later they decided to stop at a diner Because they loved the smell of eggs and coffee I just had to smoke a cigarette and wear a hat By the time that they set off again, the sun was starting to set It made the sky look red like a nuclear ray One of them said "what do you want more than anything in this whole wide world Do you want money, do you want sex, or do you want all that success?" I thought about that one myself (Then they came upon the thing)

BUT I'd love to see Savage wrestling at WM20. It's WM20, it wouldn't feel right without him (and without Hogan for that matter).
And Steamboat? I'm not so sure if I'd like to see him. However, it's hard to resist a Flair/Steamboat match...

Savage--unlikely, and in fact, I'm very surprised he's not on the news attacking Luger with a microphone or something...
Steamboat--His back is still too messed up, so I have no idea where the match rumors are coming from. An appearance would be nice though. And if you don't see his charisma from his comebacks etc., go get your eyes checked and your brainwaves examined. | Mr Tuesday

Well, that's not quite the whole story. He says that he'd *like* to, but his back is too screwed up to let it happen.
That changes the whole direction of his statement from being a workable goal, to being just a dream.
