Sup guys?

OK. Up until yesterday (Friday), Microsoft Word & I got along great. Now all of a sudden, whenever I try to run it...my computer freezes and I have to restart. I ran my spyware programs, McAfee Viruscan AND re-installed it...and no dice.

What the hell??

EDIT: I'm using 2000 SR-1, if that helps at all.

Alternatively, you can try logging out of Windows and logging in as a different user to see if this recreates the problem. Sometimes a corrupted normal.dot is to blame, and each of your profiles should have a unique copy of this file. If the issue is resolved on a different profile, you know it is a configuration issue and not some other software on your machine that has corrupted it by overwriting files.

Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.

Are you referring to the code at the front of the cd case? If so any other Microsft software code should do.

I think what you're looking for is under Tools > Internet Options > Temporary Internet Files > Settings. Check for newer versions of stored pages: set that to every visit. This is on Win98 IE 5.5, though, so caveat emptor or something.
