OK, these are the OFFICIAL Quarterfinal brackets for the Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. Losers go home, winners move on to play for medals.

Canada v. Finland
Czech Republic v. Russia
Sweden v. Belarus
U.S. v. Germany.

They all play this Wednesday. And I got the info from ESPN's Olympic Coverage.

After seeing Canada-Czech Republic I have a little more faith in Canada, but beating the Fins who woke up after their beating by the USA will be hard.

The Swedes should advance easily.
Th US should do the same, though Germany might be a bit tougher.
Czech Republic vs Russia ..DROOOOOOOL
Khabi hasn't been unbeatable yet I do expect this to be a low scoring battle of the goalies match..
I find myself rooting for Russia here.

Business is about to pick up, folks! Wednesday is gonna be sweet! (even if it means missing another night's sleep)

Canada, Russia, Sweden and the USA will advance to the next round.

The German coach played on the 1980 West German Olympic Hockey team that lost to the USA 4-2. He still holds a grudge. Should make for an interesting sub-plot to a game that will be nicely in hand by the start of the third period.

Wayner seems a little hot under the collar right about now.....a little national pressure perhaps ????

dooods, I would HAVE been 100% right thus far, if I had only written up something to PROVE that I had predicted everything right....

So, yeah....

Canada / Gold
Russia / Silver
U.S.A. / Bronze

It's not just you, that really is the nature boy.The 'canes announcer used to ring announce for WCW, and had Ric do that bit for him, as he is from that part of the world. (Not sure where I read this, so no link - sorry.)
