Are these necessary for most games on Game Cube? With my N64 I ended up using a memory card for less than 5% of the games I own. Is this going to be the case with Game Cube or will they actually be worth buying this time around?

N64 was cartridge based. So most cartridges had it's own internal battery to save. The Gamecube is special mini-DVD format with no way to save onto them. And since it has no internal Harddrive like the X-Box you need a memory card definatly.

What sucks even more is that the current Cube memory cards don't hold shit worth of information.

It's a work of art that keeps listing itself on ebay, with the previous purchase price being the new starting bid. The artist gets the full purchase price of the first sale (obviously) and then 15% of any future appreciation.
