Here are some more thoughts from a demented mind in Central Florida:
Originally posted by edougThanks for the video, but man you need to give us a warning when there's going to be a fat guy wearing spandex.
Are you refering to "Gene Mean," or are you referring to Rick Derringer? (ba dump bump crash!)
And the screwed-up thing? This was on "Piledriver" from 1987... Side 2, and the track right after "Stand Back" by VKM. I was nuts enough to play this track once or twice on my high school radio show. But, as far as wrestling songs go, it's pretty good - I remember seeing this on Prime Time Wrestling, with Gorilla Monsoon chuckling after coming back from commercial and saying he thought it was "Great!" I forget what Bobby Heenan had to say about it.
(And yes, I realize that I have no life that I still remember the track order from side 2 of "Piledriver" without having to Google that shit. )
Why yes, I am both a musician and a lawyer. Thanks for asking. :)
"Did somebody say keep on rockin', Mean Gene?" has been of the many things I randomly say that I find hilarious but no one else understands for years now. I had honestly forgotten where it actually came from. Thank you for that.
Some more... -An announcer emphasizes the word "steel." -An announcer exaggerates the distance someone fell or the height of any object. - A wrestler says "I don't want to wrestle, I want to fight!" Or any variation thereof.
