Flipping channels during the Red Sox pitching implosion today, an ad appeared on TNN hyping RAW. Now, this in itself isn't unusual. However, the whole ad centered around Jeff Hardy. Yes, the same Jeff Hardy the WWF/E fired this week is the focal point for advertising their programming. Either marketing has no idea what the office is going to do with people, or Vince and Co. have been overrun by the brain surgeons who did wonder for WCW in its final year.

There is only one man left to save Vince McMahon and the WWF/E. One man who will provide weekly Hogan/Andre Main Event ratings for RAW. Baghdad Bob is your salvation Vince. www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com

I was watching last Sunday and the focus was RVD.

They have a few of these, some in fairly good rotation (I see the RVD and Heat ones all the time). So they made a mistake and played the Jeff one. Oops. It's not even Vince's decision what ads get aired and when, that's TNN's. If anything, bitch out the marketing geniuses at TNN for keeping the Jeff commercial in rotation.

Or bitch out the WWE for not, you know, TELLING TNN that they had fired a guy that was featured prominently in an ad. Because I'm sure that one call would have been SO tough.

There seems to be several versions. I've seen ones for Rock and Kane too.

Do you have any evidence that says they didn't? I mean, I don't have any that say that they did, but I do know that TNN is responsible for the commercials, and that they should pay attention to who is and isn't in the roster of people on one of the shows they air.

I have experience in ads and scheduling. My company had to pull some ads within a day when France declared they didn't want to support the US in the war effort. So WWE calling TNN would have gotten any Jeff Hardy ads taken off the air. But why should we expect anything to go right in WCW...errrr...I mean WWE.

Something to keep in mind: this is the same network that birthed the genius idea of broadcasting promos for ECW on TNN during ECW on TNN.

There's something to be said for both parties.

Ofcourse, There's some decent ST:TNG episodes and CSI, don't they also have Nash Bridges? I forget what channel I catch those on when I get the chance.

I think thats USA Network. On a side note USA Network owns the Scifi Channel as well. And I have been reading rumors that USA Network/Scifi Channel might get sold to Viacom sometime down the road. (Which would mean Viacom would own USA and might do business with WWE again since WWE programs are only on Viacom channels. I mean if UPN caves putting Smackdwon on USA mgiht not be a bad idea.<--my view)

I don't know. If Viacom has been buying stuff left and right yet, they claim they are losing money thats why Twilight Zone and Buffy have been cannned. I just wonder if these moves are just give Viacom something when they have to close down UPN. Smackdown on USA would be good since they might request more live broadcasts. Which would be nice since I too am getting bored with spoilers. Plus, I always thought USA's picture quality was ten times better than UPN and TNN.

A Fan- I don't know it looks like Viacome is up to something though.

Also, again just a rumor, I read that AOL/Time Warner is losing so much money (last REAL figure i rememebr reading was somewhere in the billions) that they have been in talks with other companys to buy them. And guess what, Viacom is one of those companys. Which, of course still just a rumor, it would be weird for AOL/TW to be back in the wrestling business since they wuld be part of Viacom and WWE progamming airs on Viacom's channels. Still just a rumor.

Side note-Hey A Fan..has Twilight Zone really been cancelled. People keeping telling me that they heard it was, but others tell me its not true. Does anyone have 100% confirm info on this?

The WWF would never have let that Jeff Hardy ad run. The WWE however, doesn't seem to care.

Since he has no competition, Vince doesn't seem to be trying to keep everything nice and tight like it used to be. Did anyone else here the stage manager (or whatever that guy is called) during WM say "Good Job!" to Torrie/Stacy and the Miller Lite girls after one of the vignettes? I mean this is the biggest show of the year and there was production problems? Very WCW like.

They didn't even give Taker his old hat, he is wearing more of a cowboy hat now which is different from his old deadman hat. He really just looks like the bad ass Taker with longer hair and less grunting.
