It is being reported the Dallas Mavericks have finally made an off season move sending Nick Van Exel, Evan Eschmeyer, Popeye Jones, and Avery Johnson to Golden State for Antwan Jamison, Danny Fortson, Chris Mills, Jiri Welsch.
So I guess this is a good deal for the Mavericks since Antwan Jamison is a much better player than Nick Van Exel, but Van Exel was pretty important to them, but they probably have enough offense to make up for him.
As for the Warriors, i'm not sure what to think. They looked like they were on the rise but now Arenas and Jamison are both gone. Van Exel is a good player but I hope they don't expect him to take Arenas' place, he's better as the shooting guard.
Now we can finally see what the Tawn is really made of. Escaping Golden State can only be good for his career, and I think the Mavs could be an upset pick in the West this year.

I still like SA out of the west but Dallas could surprise if they play some D.
"Seattle takes Luke Ridnour to go with Collison ... they're stockpiling white guys to go clubbing with Brent Barry." ESPN.com's Bill Simmons from his 2003 NBA draft diary.
I assume when you guys say "upset in the west" you mean to make the west finals...don't forget what the Lakers did. Adding Antawn Jamison < Adding Malone and Payton.
Well you know something, Mean Gene... I think Antawn Jamison is a great player and he'll give the Mavs even more firepower on the offensive end. That being said, they're not going to the Finals unless they get a defensive presence in that lineup, namely in the middle.
