Now THATīS a DVD!! Iīm glad they added Awesome/Tanaka from ONS! I absolutely loved that spotfest, but didnīt wanna buy the DVD, because of the missing Sandman music and the silly invasion stuff!
That is a great lineup. Though somewhat disappointed that there are no Lynn/RVD matches on it. Also no Benoit matches either.
What I'm really hoping for is that after this WWE starts releasing select ECW events or PPV's in their entirety. Guilty As Charged 1999 is one I'd particularly love to own.
I suppose hoping for unedited entrance music for this DVD release is somewhat unrealistic?
Great stuff, but hopefully there's more "classic" stuff to be had from the glory days in future DVDs. And I know he's with a competing promotion, but WHAT ABOUT RAVEN?
I will buy it, if for nothing else the barbed wire match. The only time I've ever felt uncomfortable watching a wrestling match, and I've seen XPW.
I've got ONS and several of the PPVs on tape, but there are two matches on there that I'm going to love having on DVD: Awesome/Spike was just all over the place with Spike doing what Spike's always done best, getting killed, and Dreamer/CW Anderson, which if it's the match I'm thinking it is, has probably the most creative (at least at the time) submission finish I've ever seen. Looking forward to this one!
Several of these are on the ECW comps that they released late in the company's run, however having only the VHS versions I'll have to buy this one. Also, ditto on the Dreamer/Anderson match.

Depends on when you'd define the glory days...if you're saying '94 to '97, then a little over half the matches fall within that period. I would agree, however, that it'd be nice to see some more of the real early stuff ('94 and '95).
As for Raven...with the hefty praise Heyman gave him, and the segment on the documentary portion on the "Rise and Fall of ECW" DVD, I'm surprised he's not on more of this. *shrug*
Originally posted by CerebusCall me crazy, but shouldn't there be a match or two on there featuring New jack?
Here are the extras (according to silvervision):
- Axl Rotten on the Taipei Death Match - ECW & Blood - Extreme Measures: The Flaming Table - C.W. Anderson on his "I Quit" Match wit Tommy Dreamer - Danny Doring & Roadkill get into the business - The Pitbulls - Justin Credible on being champion - Public Enemy vs. Cactus Jack & Mikey Whipwreck History Video - Gangstas vs. Public Enemy - House Party (05/01/96)
I read something about 19 matches, so I think
Gangstas vs. Public Enemy - House Party (05/01/96)
is that 19th match!?
AND THAT would mean, that New Jack IS on there, right?
As far as Raven is concerned:
Isnīt that
Dudley Boyz vs. Spike Dudley & Balls Mahoney - Chicago Street Fight
the Dudz last ECW match, where they win the belts just to loose them to Raven and Dreamer later that night? So, maybe Raven would be on there as well?
Thread ahead: "It's still real to me ..." Next thread: WWE Fantasy is finally almost over Previous thread: RAW, SmackDown! ratings - weeks of 11/28 and 12/5
Well, if they're setting up things a year in advance I could see Austin vs Miz, which would then make; Cena vs Rock Triple H vs The Undertaker Austin vs Miz
