Anyone else buy/try this yet. I rushed out and bought it first thing when it came out.... and honestly I can't give an opinion yet. TONS of micromanagment, and MOO2 it ain't, but I really haven't had the time this semester to give this baby some real love. I remeber some other Weiners (Excalibur for one) talking about it coming out, and wondering what you guys think. This is probably the ONLY game I own that I can't immediately describe. With the 5 or so hours I've put it, it looks promising, but some friends tell me I can spare lots of headaches by just trading it back in for Def Jam Vendetta.
Rorschach: "None of you understand. I'm not locked up in here with you. You're locked up in here with me."
It takes a LONG time to get acclimated to, too long for alot of people. You have to play it for a long time before you get all the ins and outs.
First mistake you can make is thinking that this is Master of Orion 2 2. It's not. It's a different game, a fun game, but a different game.
It's kind of irritating too that your planets don't always listen to what you want.
I'd elaborate more, but I don't really have time right now. It's fun, but for Space Strat fans only. If you're REALLY on the fence, give GalCiv a chance. It's not as good, in my opinion, but it's a bit more fan friendly.
Do you have any specific questions? It might go a bit more easily.
Satire 04/07/03 (wienerboard.com) <- No kidding, right? Buffy 7.17 gets a 7.87 So...Spike and Wood have Oedipus complexes...riiiiight...
I'm surprised I haven't seen more talk about San Andreas on here lately. About two weeks ago, GameSpot and IGN released features on the game. It appears they got the info for their features from the same meeting with game execs.
