Hope it's OK that I've been relying on you guys for computer advice, but you're usually really good with it...

As I've mentioned elsewhere on the board, The Lovely Future Mrs. Hegemon resides outside of the US. She'd like to know what her options are as to masking her IP address so that sites won't always know where she's from. The most recent thing that prompted her to ask was that she placed an order with my credit card--with my approval, of course--but they wouldn't process the order without speaking to me on the phone because the IP didn't match where my billing address is. Of course there are other reasons for wanting to do this--such as accessing certain video content--but it's nothing nefarious. Any advice would be appreciated.

First thing I usually ask people to check out is Tor (torproject.org).

I don't know if it is the IP it changes, but tunnelbear will let you access all the media stuff.

Tunnelbear is great just for watching the bbc iplayer.

I know if i log on here while using it, my flag is the union jack, not the stars ans stripes.
