October looks to be a big month for Marvel, with some interesting one-shots and even some good stuff from the Secret Invasion end. And hey, it's Annual season!

As always, from our friends at IGN Comics, here are the notables:

ULTIMATE ORIGINS #5: The Ultimate Watchers foretell gloom and doom in the conclusion to this mini-series.

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #3: A look at Peter Parker and Mary Jane like none before. And if they're implying what I think they are...well...you would THOUGHT they'd have looked at this before, right?

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #573: Spidey goes one-on-one with the Green Goblin. Just like old times.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #1: This issue reveals the identity of Jackpot. Since they've been teasing it's Mary Jane for so long, then it obviously CAN'T be her. If it does turn out to be her, it'll be a big disappointment, just because they've hinted at it being her for months.

NEW AVENGERS #46: Yes, it's a Secret Invasion tie-in, but this issue highlights something much more interesting. The Hood will finally learn of the demon behind his powers. Fans of the original Hood mini will not want to miss this.

AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #18: The Skrull Kill Krew looks to save the day while the solicitation teases the unmasking of Mutant Zero. Time to start taking guesses.

DC solicitations forthcoming, but Marvel's end looks pretty good.

I'm a fan of non-fiction books. I particularly like books that go behind-the-scenes in movies, TV shows, events, etc. Some examples from my bookcase: Lost Moon (made into the movie Apollo 13) The Big Show (behind the Keith & Dan Sportscenter)
