When I lived in Tampa, he seemed to be at every single fandom convention that was held there. He was always super nice and would happily draw you something without even charging, unlike most artists today. I have a Alan Scott picture he did for me that I had colored by Ethan Van Sciver, of all people. This was in 2003 I think when Van Sciver was doing fill in issues of NEW X-MEN. I really hated his work on that book, but the two of them were sitting at the same table next to each other and I didn't want to embarass the guy by telling him I thought his work sucked.
This is kinda funny now because Van Sciver's work on GREEN LANTERN: REBIRTH is fucking great.
When in his Rogue-spooning days did he marry his wife? They had been married for a while, right? Hadn't Rogue been with Gambit since then, also for a healthy chunk of time? That's a bizarre development to toss out there.
