The Florida Marlins' salary purge apparently is continuing and the Chicago Cubs finally landed a leadoff hitter.
According to an ESPN 1000 radio report, the Cubs have acquired center fielder Juan Pierre from the Marlins for pitchers Sergio Mitre, Ricky Nolasco and Renyel Pinto.
