I know how the "normal" person is supposed to start at the bottom of the unread messages stack and work up, then Mark Forum Read after reading the most recent.

I don't do this, usually, I'll read a thread, use the back button, read another one, use the back button then mark them read from the main page for that forum.

Basically I wanna know if this stuffs up the process of marking things as read. I think it might, I've read the entire Sheep thread about 4 times so far.

Anyone?

It shouldn't - I'm pretty sure that "Mark forum read" will update your read stats with the current time WHEN you click on the link. Perhaps you need to refresh your cache next time you visit the forum?

Next time you're in a forum, check the clock on the upper right - if it's not your current time (assuming you've properly set your time zone), refresh the page and see if things look a bit different.

If you keep having problems, send me a private message or email.

I used the "Next Thread" link a few times in a row for the first time just now in the Ladies Forum. Pretty neat.

OK, my time was an hour out, ie the Weiner clock was an hour fast. I dunno if that would have made a difference. I shall see.

My standard reply: "Check the caching mechanism." (I'm not running 10.2 yet so I can't try it. Have you tried iCab 2.9?)
