Take a wide view of the United States in Google Earth. Thanks to one man it now it says: 'Read Ayn Rand'
In short, man takes about a month to scrawl a huge message across the face of the United States. He used a GPS logger to log the path of his car, turning it off in between letters. He then uploaded the info from the logger to Google Earth, which I believe is the only way to read his message (you know, assuming you bother to load his data into your copy of Google Earth).
I don't have an opinion one way or the other about Ayn Rand, but this seems kinda cool. I don't think I'd ever spend that much time or money to give ANY author that kind of love, but apparently some people would.
It's called "Tea Party insanity". Or "the mainstream media has no balls to call morons out on their own bullshit." Or maybe a new outlook on amphetamine-addicted, alienating narcissists. But that's another thread.
You wanted the best, you got... the Out of Context Quote of the Week.
For every College Kid who discovers Noam Chomsky and thinks s/he has found THE TRUTH there's another who finds Ayn Rand. Most grow out of it. Unfortunately those who don't generally become the kind of people who do stuff like this.
You mean the people that hate federal interference with local government, whose leaders are all interfering in a local community center project?
The people who think that budget deficits are the greatest threat to the republic in an economic downturn, believe $30 billion for unemployment benefits doesn't even deserve a vote because the money would be added to the deficit, but also believe that adding the cost of $678 billion in tax cuts for the wealthy to the deficit is just fine?
The people who will not allow you to infringe one iota on their 2nd Amendment rights, but want to repeal the 14th, 16th and 17th Amendments? (Haven't heard any of them call for the outright repeal of the 1st.. yet.)
I'm guessing whoever spoon-feeds information to these people aren't going to bring Ayn Rand's lack-of-faith to their attention any time soon.

But some of them help create Spider-Man so she can't be all bad right?
P.S. If you watch "The Secret Life of Sachiko Hanai" you will do naught but smile every time you hear Chomsky's name.
Wow, I don't remember Samuel L. Jackson being in Jurassic Park either. On this webpage I as looking at there is one section that is movies they starred in and one section of just all the movies they've been in.
