So I am trying to give some of my t-shirts that faded, worn, vintage look ... I've heard that washing them in rock salt gives them that faded appearance. Has anyone else tried this?

No, I haven't tried it--I like NEW clothes--but here's a little page on "distressing" fabric for costume purposes.

Why don't you just buy some t-shirts from a thrift store? Cheaper that way, too.

amen. why would you buy an expensive t-shirt w/ some obscure design on it that doesn't even exist, when goodwills and salvation army's all over the country have shirts ranging from old events, picnics, business weekends, parades, etc. that only will cost you 4 bucks?

main point; spending 30 dollars to look "vintage" is somewhat missing the point.

I was just experimenting on t-shirts that I already had ... And plus, I never seem to have luck in thrift stores ...

Four bucks? Man, where are YOU going? I get most of mine for two, maybe three tops.

Why not just wear the shirt until it has that worn, vintage look.

Better than buying those ridiculous shirts from Gap, etc. though.

Even worse is A&F where some "vintage" shirt will run you about $50....dear lord our society is stupid, they pay $75 for a pair of jeans with holes, paint and burn marks on it

Am I the only person who hope this kid signs into the NFL and Roy Williams and Parcells get to let that comment stew for the next 7 months?

One of my high school teachers implored us to write our Congressmen to vote against the 25 cent e-mail tax, once. So, yeah, Snopes is a pretty good site.
