Christ, it feels like the company is telegraphing it at this stage.
Next we'll have Vince come out & tell us, ''Roman's winning at Mania so if you're not a fan you might as well fuck off now'', & if that's what it takes for some fans who still persist with this shitty product to realise it isn't for them anymore, then fair enough. My personal moment was Roman pinning Bryan, such a 'fuck you' from Vince to the fans that was. Done purely out of spite by a bitter, stubborn old man who can't admit when he's wrong.
And considering I haven't watched in nearly two years, I really don't give a shit anymore. They're determined to go with Roman & will literally risk sinking the company to do it. The only reason Brock had this extended run with the belt with numerous absences in between is because they had no plans for Lesnar (or the rest of WWE it seems) past Mania 31, & rather than use that time to rebuild his character, they just put the whole company into a fucking holding pattern until Vince decided it was time to use Lesnar to crown Roman. And once that happens what else have they got? Who's left to 'crown' Roman at next years mania once Vince has finally gets this bug out of his system? Cena? Done that already, Taker? Done that already. HHH? Done that already. Bryan? Done that already. I still say they should've gone with Roman vs. Goldberg last year. Much better than pointlessly giving Lesnar his win back. Beating the guy who fucking murdered the streak ender would've carried much more weight than beating the guy who got his win back from the guy that beat him in less than 3 minutes after he ended the streak 4 years ago.
Of course they're willing to tease heel turns to try & have their cake & eat it. They played the same song & dance with Cena, it was different back then because it had never been done before & we didn't know how it would end. Roman after Cena is like Luger after Hogan, the magic isn't there because we know precisely how this will fucking end.
