Oh man...I'm really digging this game. I scored it used at EB Games for twenty bucks....and it ate up a good percentage of my weekend. I'm stuck on FAIRPLAY (the car race) but I figure I'll have it beat something this week.

My main question: everything there's someone speaking, their voices are very high pitched (like the chipmunks on helium or whatever) and after looking around, I can't find a way to fix that.

Can anyone pass along any information on that? I wouldn't complain if there was a subtitle option in the game, but there isn't such option, IIRC.

I can't wait to beat it...even though I've seen the ending already.

I miss Alberta. Yes...seriously.

Mafia is pretty awesome. I don't think I ever ran into the high-pitched voice thing, but I remember having to install a patch from the manufacturer to get rid of some bug in the game that kept popping up. Assuming you haven't already tried that, maybe there's a patch that fixes the speech, too.

As far as I remember, there is two way to format the memory cards. Either the game you are playing will do it when you try to save to the card, or you can do it yourself through the ps2 browser.
