Where's our Mad Men tag Zed?

I can't remember if people here watch this show or not. It took me a little while to get back into it, but the show sucked me back in and now I am excited to see where the season take us.

We got a new Don Draper. He's more carefree. He doesn't seem all in at work. Is it because he is finally happy at home or is he now somewhere in between Dick and Don and doesn't even realize it?

Don's wife Megan turned out to have a lot more to her than just a pretty face. I figured she would end up more like Roger's current wife, arm candy that Don tires of. Her song and dance was pretty freaking hot, and her comments about not liking the people Don works with were really accurate, because it is not a real likable group of people that we have all be watching for all these years.

Pete is going to be the wild card this year. He is already challenging Roger and his spot in the company, but Roger is Roger and his spot seems safe until it isn't of course ... and does Pete set his sites on a weakened Don at some point and try to vie for the crown? Pete is more the new era non smoking light drinking vs the old era Don and Roger, only Pete lacks the charm.

I'm still a big Joanie fan, partially because I cannot get enough of Christina Hendricks in those outfits and also because Joan doesn't fuck around. Of course it is her fucking around with Roger that got her the baby, but she should be able to handle him. I think we all can agree that something will happen to the husband that will derail her somewhat. Whether he gets killed, maimed or just messed up in the head remains to be seen. If Joan and Don don't end up together by the time they wrap this show up I'll either be surprised or disappointed I'm not sure which yet.

Then there is Peggy. Didn't get too much out of her last night even though she is one of the most interesting characters in terms of where she has been and where she is now. She still feels over worked and under valued of course and I'm sure we will get more as time goes on.

Civil Rights is in full swing, plenty of side characters to deal with plus there is always Don's family who we didn't really see much of. Last season was a lot of Don exploring who he was and where he came from, I think he is now going to have to start dealing with how that affects him and everyone around him going forward.

It was a long 17 months, but it's nice to have them all back.

Highly doubt Pete would set his sights on Don. Remember, Don ponied up Pete's $50,000 when all the partners had to chip in to keep the company afloat. Granted, it was in return for Pete falling on the sword & killing the contract w/ North American Aviation, but still. Plus, I get the impression there's a grudging respect for Pete by Don, whereas Roger couldn't give 2 shits about Pete.

If Joan and Don don't end up together by the time they wrap this show up I'll either be surprised or disappointed I'm not sure which yet.

Really? Joan knows Don enough to know he's not ideal husband material. Don would have to undergo a drastic, permanent change in his life for Joan to even consider getting with Don. Now, Joan/Lane Pryce I could see happening.

I don't think there's any romantic sparks between Joan and Lane, which is funny since Lane is so desperate for female companionship that's not his wife. Joan/Lane is based around pure professional respect. She appreciates that he takes her seriously and is the rare man who actually ISN'T trying to get into her pants, while he appreciates that she is all business and doesn't get sidetracked like literally everyone else at SCDP.

I really, really like Megan's character. What a great turn away from Betty Draper as Don's romantic partner. Not that Betty wasn't an interesting character for the first three years but she became dead weight last season; needless to say, I didn't miss her non-appearance in the premiere.

Harry Crane's degeneration from the one decent guy in the office in S1 to the complete douchebag of today has been hilarious.

I'm just happy they have Roger (my favorite character in the show) and Don getting along.

I also really like Megan's character.

Obviously there aren't sparks now, but I could easily see their relationship moving in that direction precisely for the reasons you listed.

Just a quick note to check your DVR's. The 2nd season is known as Young Justice: Invasion and my DVR didn't continue my season pass. Make sure you check that it will record next Saturday.
