Just curious if anyone had seen the ads/bothered to see this show besides me.
Checked out the second half by channel surfing, and set the Tivo to record it the next time it was on. Pretty funny show, HBO goes with a sitcom feel on this one, with the "live studio audience" and everything. Wasn't expecting much, but laughed my ass off many times during the 35 minutes or so it ran. Louis CK, Laura Kightlinger, and Jim Norton are the biggest names on the show that I've actually heard of, but the rest of the supporting cast is all pretty funny, with Pamela Adlon playing Louie's wife. Name sounded sorta familiar, so I IMDBed it, and turns out she's the voice of Bobby Hill from King of the Hill. But definitely a show worth checking out for those who haven't seen it.
The Disney-song knockoff was an absolute howl. I don't know how many times they can pull that off before it'll get old, though. I'd have liked Ling-Ling better WITHOUT subtitles, though Clara's misinterpreting its gibberish as sage advice was cute.
