I assumed the "pee on it" was a Friends reference when Joey/Chandler had to pee on Monica.
I await the full-fledged NWO faction, led by Locke. That said, I predict that # 1 Heel Sawyer will actually turn face at the same time.
I too was disappointed that Claire was not actually dead.

You mean Shannon. We don't know where Claire and Ethan really are - although, like Billy Gunn, we know they're comin' back.
On the compass front: from http://www.bandg.com/calibration.htm
Every compass ... will suffer from local deviation effects, due to local magnetic interferences ... - almost any ferrous or magnetic object. These effects will vary at different points of the compass, for example only a degree or two at a due north heading, and 5 or 6 degrees at an easterly heading.
