And, as pointed out over in the DVDVR thread, the foundation of Locke's heel stable continues to grow.
Locke = Kevin Sullivan Boone = Mark Levin ????? = Fallen Angel (Kate? Boone's sister? CLAIRE??)
Was it just me or did it look like Mike Allred drew that cartoon?

How come Walt can't look at a drawing of a rescue boat for the castaways so they get rescued? And did he unknowingly give his mother her sickness, causing her to die? Is anybody going to link the whole comic book polar bear/island polar bear? Is there a link? Will I stop asking questions?
I think Michael is going to be the next member of Locke's crew. He seems to have "seen the light" in terms of Locke. I love how Boone didn't give a crap about his sister when she tried to manipulate him.

As for Walter seeing things and then the images becoming real, maybe (a) he doesn't know about his power yet; or (b) he doesn't really want to get off the island for some reason, therefore he WON'T picture a raft that'll rescue them.

Unless they represent a general mass evolutionary spike a la Childhood's end, I'm afraid we're gonna see Locke's white/black game theme played out between the two kids, both in skin color and morality.
And my money's on Sawyer kicking some ass when Ethan's buddied are introduced. The writers have been diluting his initial bastard persona to correspond with the island's various shades of gray, as mentioned above.

After her being missing for a week I didn't think they were just going to start searching for her again but I certainly didn't think she'd just pop up like that either. Sucks that we have to wait until February 9th to find out more on the situation.

I saw a part where the chinese girl was talking to Micheal. Did I miss something? I thought Kate was the only one who knew she spoke English.

Claire walked out of the woods. That's uh... the update.
I will MAINTAIN Locke is one of the good guys until he personally kills me. He didn't brainwash Boune, he helped the island set him free.
Though he obviously didn't show him how to restrain someone. Oops.

Yeah - but am I right? She wasn't pregnant, right? She didn't have the baby yet on the show, or am I mad?

She didn't look pregnant, but it was shot so you couldn't really tell. My wife and I both thought she looked un-pregnant.

Is Walt's ability/power able to work with non-animal type things like a raft? I got the distinct impression it was an animal picture thing and a 'you wouldn't like me when I'm angry' thing. During a flashback, Walt was staring intently at the dog (which wasn't his, a point made but why?) and the dog did nothing. Then he got mad because step-dad wasn't paying attention to him when the bird, a picture, died. He could have been mad/upset a lot of times at dad when the polar bear was made. That assuming is where the polar bear came from which I think was heavily implied.
Did anyone catch the Spanish comic book - what it said? More accurately, what Walt was reading?
I also thought Claire wasn't prego anymore. Funny, she shows up when talk of the Black Rock does...coincidence???

This was much discussed on all the boards during the first episode(s). "Green Lantern: Faster Friends part one" Here (forums.go.com) is one discussion with a transation of the comic into english.

I remember in an earlier episode this season when Vincent the dog was missing, it was pouring rain and Michael told Walt they'd go out to look for him when it stopped raining. It immediately stopped raining. Could be coincidence, but that's when I first got the inkling that there was something up with Walt. | Matt Tracker

Locke recently pulled a simliar trick while walking with Boone. But it felt somewhat like Locke was reading the weather, not making the rain.
In the first episode, The Lovely Mrs. Tracker noticed that the rain immediately stopped while Kate, Jack and Charlie ran from the monster. So suddenly that Kate's hair barely dripped.

| #16 Posted on 26.1.05 0959.37 | | What a terrific show!My Wife and I are absolutely hooked on this.I think Locke will wind up being ok in the end.He certainly came through with helping save the kid.My worry is how they're going to keep this show going.i would think that eventually they'll have to get rescued. But of course Gilligan never did during the three years it was on.And I'm new to these forums.Really like what I see so far! |
