I'm going to be so ticked if the people on the raft end up on the island, but I can't imagine they won't be or they'll dead, - or both, I guess. Years of TV watching has taught me that people who don't get to say their goodbyes and realize it ahead of time usually get a second chance, so I'm sure Sawyer's making it back.
They were quite obvious in introducing 'back of the plane' people as future characters - so I guess the mystery is where they turn up. Where the raft lands? Or the people making the smoke?
The running arguement about this show with me and the friend who convinced me to watch is if any plot is going to pay off, and if it's going to be worth the trip when we get there. Next week's critical for that, but it's also huge in trying to get the concept to work for more than one season; four of them are off the island, so the rest of them are just waiting for them to come back and solving the Scooby Doo mysteries. There's gotta be more for them to do than that, especially at the pace of the mysteries.
I was wondering what the big deal about Black Rock was, and it really blew my mind. So far there's been 2 shipwrecks and 2 plane crashes on the island (that anybody knows about, that is). What an island.
I was really surprised that Vincent turned back. I thought he would swim all the way out and would join Walt for the three hour cruise.
Has Danielle gone insane or not? She seems to have very lucid comments most of the time, so I am thinking that she's speaking the truth. I did not see the pirate ship coming. Nope.
Abrams is saying that there's huge twists in the season-ender, but they've left it so wide open it could be anything: someone else could die, they could release a plague from opening the hatch, zombie pirates could emerge from the Black Rock, or maybe the Professor and Mary Ann are sending the smoke signals.
Very intrigued to see the season finale after yet another great ep. My GF put it best, Lost is the only show when something isn't happening, something is happening. The only bad thing is that it's the last Lost Fix I'll be getting until the Fall...how will I make it.
Very glad they finally did the Sawyer/Jack thing where Sawyer told Jack about meeting his pops, and the convo they had...probably the biggest payoff off the season for me.
Got to agree with Packman, the convo between Jack and Sawyer was really well done. The flashback with Shannon, Boone, and Sayid was pretty damn cool too. Haha. I'm assuming that the crew on the raft is picking up a signal from the island. They'll wash back up on the shore at the end of the season finale or something...
As a big mystery fan, I have loved the return of Holmes both on the big screen and with BBC's rendition even though I think the BBC's Moriarty is utter garbage. I loved the first one due to how it felt like a real mystery with some action pieces.
