Does anyone know of any establishments that generally show wrestling events in the Phoenix area? I'll be there with some buddies for Opening Day and am not making any progress with random phone calls to pubs near our hotel.

Thanks.
According to WWE.com, there are only two "Blast Areas" (places that show PPV's) in Arizona, and they're both in Mesa. Don't know how far that is from Phoenix.

gater -- Give us (me) a follow-up report on how it goes. I've never been to a Blast Area -- I might give that a whirl sometime!
(For completeness, for those interested in this sort of esoterica: Mesa is part of "the greater Phoenix metropolitan area" sprawl. Outside of prime rush hour, most things in Phoenix-improper are an hour or less apart, which is nothin'. And for additional esoteric value, I indeed am a native Phoenician-proper so I can talk about it that way. :-) )
Everything in Phoenix is an hour away. Seriously guys, where the hell did you import all that TRAFFIC from? I shudder to think what's going to happen once Tucson and Phoenix Metro finally grow into one another.
This past summer I was in a traffic jam in CHANDLER for pete's sake. Chandler used to be a couple dead farms and a trailer park!
Yeah, it takes a while to get everywhere, but at least people have space, and lots of free parking. I've been in the DC area for almost a decade now and I still can't get over the fact that people park on the sides of the major roads, which don't have many lanes to begin with.

We didn't import them -- they all spontaneously migrated here! Personally, I blame Del Webb & the Sun City commercials on Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color". Preachin' to the choir, dude! "When I was a child, ..."
And it's Apache Junction that used to be a couple' dead farms & a trailer park. Chandler was one 3-star resort hotel in the middle of a buncha cactus. (Last year, when they said that they were doing a WWE Diva photo shoot in Chandler, it wasn't real tough to figure out where they were.)

Hey now, as a Chandler resident, we just passed Scottsdale as the 4th largest city in Arizona (Phoenix, Tucson, and Mesa) with over 220,000 residents. Although if you went to downtown Chandler, you would never guess it is that large...
I hear you about the traffic problems. Mesa is the home of 99% of the idiots when it comes to driving. I shit you not, I saw some bluehair driving down Apache Trail on the wrong side of the road this winter.
I'm seriously looking into moving out to Johnson Ranch in Queen Creek, but even THAT is filling up way too fast.
If I had known there were going to be on, I would have taped it. (Of course, Im sure ESPN will run it into teh ground.) FYI, PTI is scheduled for its regular time slot today and later on tonight on the Deuce.
