From the Yahoo article:

"Half a dozen explosions rocked the London subway and tore open a packed double-decker bus during the morning rush hour Thursday. The blasts killed at least two people and injured scores in what a shaken Prime Minister Tony Blair said was a series of 'barbaric' terrorist attacks.

Blair said it was clear the attacks were designed to coincide with the opening of the G-8 summit in Gleneagles, Scotland. The prime minister said the meeting of world leaders would continue but that he would return to London."

I hope you London-area W's are all safe...

I saw this while at work last night on CNN. Horrible. Hope the deaths are minimal and whomever it is claiming responsibility is gets caught and is dealt with.

Deaths are at 40 and injuries at 300 right now:

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Almost four years ago, when the 9/11 attacks happened, the entire world came together and we were all Americans on that day. Everyone was united. I'm more than sure all of the United Kingdom has come together, as well as all of Europe. And I'm more than certain that the United States government is behind London, too.

And while the American people seem to decry these acts...

Huff Post Comments from London Story

Huff Post Comments from Islamists Responsibility Claim looks like they're also a little too busy slinging mud at each other. Have people become SO bitterly divided in this country that they can't even just come together and say, "This was a terrible tragedy and this is a time for mourning"?

This is a horrible, unspeakable tragedy, and my heart goes out to everyone affected, directly or indirectly, by this crisis.

And the people responsible... can go to hell. "He who warns is excused", huh? The God that I know would beg to differ.

I complained to another Liberal friend about some of the Lefts tone concerning the 2004 elections. I thought it insulting to hear those red state voters caricatured as red-necked rubes. My friend asked, Well, dont you think that people who live in large urban areas, who travel and read and speak other languages are better able to make informed choices? It turns out it is superiority, not familiarity, which breeds contempt. - Pat Sajak

Blair's recorded announcements were so terrible. Ken Livingstone did a much better job of summing everything up:

"I want to say one thing specifically to the world today. This was not a terrorist attack against the mighty and the powerful. It was not aimed at presidents or prime ministers. It was aimed at ordinary, working-class Londoners, black and white, Muslim and Christian, Hindu and Jew, young and old. It was an indiscriminate attempt to slaughter, irrespective of any considerations for age, for class, for religion or whatever.

That isn't an ideology, it isn't even a perverted faith, it is just an indiscriminate attempt at mass murder and we know what the objective is. They seek to divide Londoners. They seek to turn Londoners against each other. I said yesterday to the International Olympic Committee that the city of London is the greatest in the world because everybody lives side by side in harmony. Londoners will not be divided by the cowardly attack. They will stand together in solidarity alongside those who have been injured and those who have been bereaved and that is why I'm proud to be the Mayor of that city. "

I'm due to get a couple of trains and a tube into central London in about half an hour to go to a gig. I'm not sure what to expect.

What a meaningless gesture.

In fact, this thread is pretty much meaningless. Think I'll close it and piss everybody off. NEVER FORGET

This also begs the question of who they bought them from. Briefcase nukes have to have a great deal of upkeep associated with them. If they are not properly maintained, they will not work.
