St. Louis wrestling crowds are ALWAYS great and tonight was no different...and we were rewarded with a pretty damn good Raw.

Four guys from Harley Race's World League Wrestling worked in dark matches and Heat matches.

Dark: Wade Chism pinned Trevor Rhodes(formerly Stan Dupp in NWA-TNA) via Oklahoma roll after Rhodes missed his bulldog off the top.

Heat(Coachman is back, thank God):
Jeff Hardy pinned Marc Godecker(WLW) via swanton.
3-Minute Warning beat Tommy Dreamer & Spike Dudley; good hot ending with a ton of false finishes before Jamal pinned Dreamer with the big splash off the top.
Al Snow defeated Steve Thunder(WLW's Superstar Steve) via Snowplow.
Jacquelyn beat Molly Holly in a no-DQ match(which didn't amount to much more than some brawling in the crowd). Jacquelyn ended up busted open(hardway?) after getting rammed into the steps, but she won with a spinaround DDT.

Raw

Long matches? What is this, a wrestling show?
Dudleys as reluctant heels...hmm. Hellacious bump to the floor by RVD, he was limping on his way to the back after that.
Yeah, I think we all saw Jazz's walkout coming. Jeff kisses Trish and PEOPLE WILL NEVER RUN OUT OF JOKES.
Hey, they found something for Steiner to do, good for them.

Congratulations, Triple H, you actually got two clean wins in a row. Good for you! Here's a cookie, and don't cry too much when Booker whoops your ass at Mania, 'kay? An extra cookie for anyone who remembers that HHH and Goldust first fought over Triple H hitting on Marlena waaaaay back in December of 1996. Orton lives in the St. Louis area so I should have expected him to be there, but that attack was REALLY well done as everyone thought it was a legit fan attack before they saw who it was.

Thankfully Austin won. And, post-show, there was, of course, some awe-inspiring banter between Austin and Rock ending in a couple of Stunners and Rock recovering long enough to give a Wrestlemania T-shirt to a kid in a wheelchair at ringside(bugging the fans about cheering him for that because he's a bad guy now :)).

Tonight, HHH did what I said a couple of weeks back that he needed to do as his program with Booker progresses. He started out arrogantly dismissing Booker as a non factor. Gradually he has started to see Booker as a legitimate threat. Tonight, he had a look of concern when he went up the ramp after Booker cleared the ring.

To be honest, I didn't remember that. But, I do remember the time HHH lost his European Championship to Owen Hart when HHH sent out Goldust with a big fake nose to replace him vs. Owen. Owen pinned Goldust and Sgt. Slaughter gave the Championship to Owen, which made HHH slightly upset.:)

I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

As I've said, arrogant heels dismiss ALL of their opponents as not being worthy of facing them. Then they actually DO face them and get more than they bargained for.

Also notable: Flair asked if Triple H wanted Booker T in the ring tonight and HHH quickly said NO, he wanted GOLDUST in the ring. And he was concerned enough about Booker's presence at ringside during the match to have Orton lurking out there for extra backup.
