OK, it seems to for some reason be common knowledge on the net that Lita's hurricanrana (and maybe Lita's spots in general) are "scary" or "sloppy" or "will eventually kill someone." Can someone give me a rational explaination for this? I really can't tell by looking at moves how well they're executed (heck, Bret Hart's moves always looked sloppy as hell to me), but I do have to point out that Lita's done probably hundreds of hurricanranas and I've never heard any reports of injuries or anything because of it. I've also never read anything about "wrestler so-and-so doesn't want to take Lita's hurricanrana because he's worried about getting hurt." So what's the deal here?

I think the problem with Lita's Hurricanrana doesn't lie in Lita killing someone else, it lies in her killing herself! Some times her head gets scary close to the mat when she swings back to flip the guy. They've shown a few in those double feature things that have made me cringe. Maybe it's her hair messing up the perspective or something, but at times she can't be more than half an inch from smacking her head into the mat full force. Most of her other moves don't bother me that much but that Hurricanrana is definately a "scary move" from time to time.

I think part of it lies also in the fact that the people often seem to take it by flipping to the side.. which I don't see in many other Hurricarana incidents.. I guess she twists on the Cheat-a-Carana.

Hardy Boyz! Cheat To WIN!

You knew they were greatly influenced by Eddie Guerrero. Why do you think they had that angle with him (Matt beating Eddie for the Euro Title and soon becoming an honorary Hardy).

Here we go, totally obscure wrestling moment! Sorry, I just remembered this when you talked about the side flipping...

When Austin was feuding with The Corporation, he wrestled Ken Shamrock on RAW. Shamrock did a diving hurricanrana and if memory serves me right, Austin took it by flipping to the side. Totally freaked me out, because
1. Never seen Shamrock do a move off the top rope.
2. Never thought Austin would take a move like that considering his bad neck and all.

Ok back to Lita.

Lita is cool. She's got that whole "Pink-There You Go" attitude about her. Or maybe that's getting a little tired now. (But what if PINK started wrestling?? YEAH!)

I think at one point the wwf called it a pendulum hurricanrana..She seems to swing sideways like a pendulum clock. This, and the long hair seems to make her head get waaay to close to the mat.
Also she is pretty vicious with it which makes it look awesome and sometimes kinda dangerous too..Yet i guess the only real risk is for her (or Steph, who got herself pile driven by it)

As for the sloppyness, IMO its the other moves. Her moonsault often misses anything but leg and seems sort of rushed (compared to Essa and Kurt ofcourse, everyone's moonsault sucks), her (jumping) clotheslines are very sloppy..they bug me the most. She seems to fall down and happen to hit her opponent in the process.

I always thought Lita's hurricanrana was scary as hell, I've seen her do it on some guys (Christian inpredicular) and his head was an inch away from the mat, on many occasions it seems like there heads "piledrive" the mat.

I was a big Lita fan last year but I really see that she hasn't tried to improve herself at all in the last year or so, she been pulling off her same 3 moves and can't work a match to save her life.. Seriously if she improved half of the amount Trish Stratus has over the year she would be up there with Molly as a great worker but she hasn't and I truly beleive that right now Trish is a better wrestler/worker then Lita (who would have guessed that a year ago)

I thought this thread was going to be about liquid unit measurements in the metric system.

What's that? You're talking about Lita and not Liter?

Oh. Never mind.

I agree with Net Hack Slasher, because Trish & Molly are neck & neck (or rack & rack, if you will...) in the race for best female worker. Trish has improved greatly, and Molly is (or at least, was) getting lots of time to showcase her mad skills.

Well, Amy Dumbass may have reversed her fortune quite a bit with the internet fiasco....

heck, Bret Hart's moves always looked sloppy as hell to me

I don't know about sloppy... If they looked "amateur" it's because he tries REALLY hard to make him moves look as real as possible.

Bret did indeed try too hard. His punches really were funny because he would stomp his feet pretty hard.

The Lita internet thing is probably that fact that "Amy" admitted that they were getting punished on her site...

"Kent Brockman here once again at The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, where a complete evacuation has taken place. Details are sketchy at best, so we've taken what little information we have, added our own theories, and concluded that whatever the likely disaster, it's most likely the work of our former president Richard M Nixon, even though he is rumored dead." -Kent Brockman

NO! I'm quite scared to get in the ring...but seriously, Lita is at least IMPROVING a little in the ring. She doesn't look she's going to be killing anyone with her moves, most of the time, at least.

Come to think of it, she didn't really improve all that much. I'm rationalizing for no real reason here. Maybe if she gets to actually WRESTLE, she'll get better. In fact, when was the last time Lita was in a wrestling match as a wrestler?

I'm not thinking about his brawling or amatuer style head takedowns or other stuff. I'm mostly thinking about his dropkick and vertical suplex.

What internet fiasco?

It was reported on amydumas.net that Team Extreme were taken off TV for a few weeks as a punishment, then the site was taken down days later.

However, there`s a current article on wwf.com where Lita says that her webmaster posted that without her knowledge and sets the record straight about those rumors. Of course, no one seems to have read the facts now that they`re out there, and just believe the now-debunked rumors. Here`s the interview:
http://www.wwf.com/news/headlines/1107310

And I agree, Lita has been in very few matches lately.

Or, maybe Ms. Dumbass was trying to cover her ass as best she could by retracting the claims she made on her website. We have no idea which are the facts, actually. Debunked? Hardly.
