The full edition of the Raw Lines for Monday, February 16 is now available for viewing

Raw Lines: February 16, 2004

On page three is a Lines Rankings page which accounts for match ratings, records, contributions, and other intangibles I cannot quite articulate at the moment. I know the resident rankings system was that of Super Shane Spear, and I know I cannot do that nearly as well as he could when he was writing them up. So to Mr. SSS, if you would like to rank them and provide short commentary, I would be privileged to attach that to the Lines on a semi-regular basis (I'll provide the performance records).

Till next line...

I know what you're thinking. Did I fire seven shots or six? Well to tell you the truth in all of this confusion I've sorta forgotten myself, so you have to ask yourself one question. Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

I agree very much with your match assessment.

I especially agree when you said the last two matches looked very impactful and tight. HBK/Benoit worked very "manly" on each other with stiff chops and strikes, I agree with you, great in-ring work performed by those two... As for the women, I agree as well, overall it was harder hitting then most recent bouts. I think mostly is because Lita was in matches recently and her wrestling is pretty loose offense and defense. Having Trish in there, kinda brought up the impact level especially with her bumping and her strikes have more punch to it as well. Also agree that Victoria/Molly are meshing in really well together. It kind of says something that the women tag match seemed alot more intense and stiff then the World tag title match that the titles change hands. Don't know if that's positive on the women or negative on the male tag scene. Probably a bit of both.

As for the segments, well if you read my Raw report I think you can call out what I disagree with. I don't think I can give the Orton/Foley beatdown a positive mark, especially not a +1.0. I understand the reasoning and the intentions, and on paper the idea was fine and would get a positive mark from me... The problem all came on the execution which for me went from "Hey stop beating on Foley!" to "Can we please end this segment and move on". It just went on for too long without much happening that the beatdown became repetitive and meaningless after a while.

That was the only thing I differ with you from. But hey fine report once again like always.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory is lowered to BLUE alert - Guarded (Due to Eddie being WWE champ and facing Angle at WM, Benoit winning the Rumble in World title match in mania BUT Kliq members is still a threat - Vince you can save us from these threats) 2/17
