Does Glen Sather do what's right for the Rangers and make SquishyHead sit out the Olympics after his "mild" concussion or does he do what is right for his country and let him play ?
Same goes for Fleury - does he make him sit out and get his life in order for the sake of his team or does he let him play in the Olympics ? And will Fleury attack the Olympic Mascot at a game or in the opening ceremonies ?
As a Rangers fan, I hope they both sit out.

The US team has some of the same personnel problems - they named too many players early on and just barely had room for Mike York - if Richter stands on his head again then the Gold will stay within our borders.

You gotta hope that both Lindros and Fleury will be doing okay again soon. Same can be said for Mario..
However, some rest for guys like this would sure help. Richter isn't as sharp as he has been and those 2 weeks of rest could help him. Then again, if a player does well at the Olympics it could boost his confidence alot.
And as for goldage..No matter how much I might root for the USA or Canada I am sure some European team will take the medal. They are about just as talented as the N-American squads and much more trained in the bigger rink style of play. And somehow, even though some of them might have played in the NHL for a decade now, they still seem to know the style of play their country uses and adapt to that much easier while Canada and the USA try to use NHL styles which doesn't seem to work that well..
That won't stop me from cheering for Canada or the USA.
Imagine this is some funny signature. Then I will imagine you compliment me on it.
Reviving one of my old threads as it once again becomes pertinent - how unlike my thought process.....
Erica SquishyHead now has a bum knee that will be keeping him out of All-Star Weekend - Sather has said that he is a Ranger first and he will do what is best for the team.....if the knee is still iffy or giving him trouble after the break, will Sather let him play for Canada in Salt Lake ?
As a Rangers fan, I say sit him through Salt Lake so he will be strong for the playoff push.....as an American, I say definitely sit him - once less club in Canada's bag
Let's Go Rangers !!!

And as a Canadian fan, I say: YOU WISH.
Lindros, I expect, will make a pretty significant contribution this time around, because he hasn't got Bobby "The Ass" Clarke hanging over him, trying to make him into the next Gretzky.
..and I think ANYBODY would be squishy-headed after taking a heavy-duty check from Scott Stevens.
I smell a swerve here.. Well not maybe a real swerve, I bet his knee IS injured but its also a chance for Lindros to rest up his remaining braincells and things..

If Eric Lindros won't go to SLC, does that mean Joe Thornton will?
I'd bet some good money on that. In fact, I can't see them NOT taking Thornton, even if nobody gets injured. Leave Gagne behind, and send Thornton, I say.
