OK, I specifically watched Velocity just to see Linda take on Ivory. I'm no expert on pro wrestling, but I was a bit underwhelmed by her work.
Two times she flipped Ivory over, one was an alleged back body drop.. can't remember the other move, but both times Ivory almost landed on her head.
Then, Linda goes for a stalled brainbuster or whatever, and barely is able to keep Ivory vertical, almost dropping her completely.
Now, considering it is possible there was more stuff that was edited out, I dunno. I know she's a rookie, and i was hoping they'd put the TE2 winners on TV sooner rather than later, but at this point to my untrained eye she looks almost dangerous to work with.
Then to top it off they have Linda, who was portrayed on the TE2 show as a natural heel, play a face role. While Jackie, a natural face, turn heel! I don't get it.
I guess I was expecting too much from people who've only been wrestling for 6 months or so, but color me disappointed.

Whoever booked that finish should have his head examined. Jackie has a torn ACL. There's no way she could have jumped on the apron quick enough to toss Linda off and have it be a surprise. It's like when Regal visited and chastised Jake on just standing there waiting to be hit by a shoulderblock. Linda should have seen it coming unless they're going to give her the gimmick that she has bad peripheral vision and make her wear coke bottle glasses to the ring.

Acl's don't heal on their own. You need surgery that takes you out for awhile.

I think whoever booked the match tried to get a little too ambitious. Think back to Maven's first few matches; he spent his entire time selling except for a few punches, a whip or two, and of course the Dropkick of Death. They didn't just throw him out there and expect him to be able to work like an experienced wrestler, the way Linda had to last night. Even Ivory, who's carried some pretty big loads in the past, couldn't do much for her.
Hopefully in the future they'll take it a bit slower with her.
I believe that Meltzer said she has already had the surgery.

WAY OFF. That missed dropkick after ivory failed to come off the ropes was horrible. and you could see her getting ready for spots all the time and even physically calling them (or something i'm not sure what she was doing just before ivory took her down into the ropes near the end of the match, but it sure looked like she was signaling "throw me there")
Until Jackie threw her off at the end, I was sure that she was only there to give the editors something to cut to when they needed to snip out a bad looking spot. And that's really the worst part, what we saw was most likely the best stuff that happend in the match.
On a semi-related note, Ivory looked really really hot in that outfit.

Ivory is HOT! I saw her at Axxess last year in Houston and I was pleasantly surprised. I had no idea she was that fine. She needs to do Playboy, along with a few other divas.
Linda is ugly as they come. I think Midnight looked better. Scratch that, I know Midnight looked better. Linda is in an ugly battle with the original Chyna, before surgery. I don't see why they picked her. I mean, looks play a part in picking male wrestlers also. You know how they always say, "He's got the look of a superstar." Linda does not have the look at all. I don't get it.

Here's my take on Velocity- Yes Linda did look sloppy, but she is not only *playing* the role of an in-experienced rookie, she *is* one. Yeah she almost dropped Ivory with that suplex, but she pulled it off in the end and she could have done a lot worse. (You could call the missed drop-kick just a rookie mistake- she was expecting Ivory to come back at her or something.)
However, I was VERY happy with the Jackie heel turn. It was actually something I did not expect until a few minutes before the match, then I started hoping for it. It made me mark out like a 12 year old girl, eef you weel, and I think she will play the part well. In the end I think Linda will make a decent face- even though she was annoying on the show she will be playing the hard-fighting rookie trying to make a name for herself, only to have the bitchy (and gorgeous) Jackie try to steal her heat. So I was very happy with the writing and the way they are taking this.
Ditto on Ivory being extraordinairly fine. That new "Coming up" video promo of hers is *awesome*.
