Bradley Cooper's first movie as the solo headlining star made some money this weekend and came in at #1 at the box office, but I thought it kind of sucked. A pretty good first act and interesting premise gets squandered, but what irritated me the most is I never liked Cooper's character, didn't agree with almost anything he did, and didn't want him or anyone else in the movie to succeed. There are a lot more interesting possibilities from the premise that Limitless could have explored than what it actually did.
This is what lost me too. I'm not capable of that level of suspension of belief. There had to be a better way of getting the chief into some sort of situation where she needs the alderman's help because that is where they are obviously headed.
